A savvy shopper has found the perfect solution for when your clothes don’t fit you – and it all comes down to using an inexpensive product that nearly all women own
A woman has been hailed for her ‘genius’ hack to help people fit into dream outfits.
Most of us know the struggle when a perfect outfit grows tight after striking in the wash. But the most annoying thing for shoppers is having to deal with returns after things bought online are a size too small or big.
It can frustrating when the garment looks good all over, but the straps simply won’t stop falling down your arms, no matter how much you tighten them. But one savvy shopper has the solution to many people’s problems.
The woman revealed she’d recently purchased her “dream dress” but when the order turned up at her home, the silky spaghetti straps kept slipping down.
Sharna had ordered the garment from a website called Born To Be Chic, for £50 after falling in love with it online. She loved it so much she was determined to wear it despite the baggy straps.
So she came up with a clever hack involving a hair clip she bought in a set for £2.80. The thrify young woman gathered the straps together in the middle of her back and clipped them into place with a gold hair slide. It worked perfectly and also added a unique and stylish touch to her outfit.
She explained: “I bought the dress online and really loved it, but when it arrived, it just didn’t fit right. “I originally had a hook and eye in the back, but it didn’t look nice. So I decided to go to my local Kmart department store and see if I could find something to help.”
“I came across these nice hair clips and it just clicked. So I bought them and took them home.” She added: “They worked perfectly and it looked like it was meant to be part of the dress.”
Sharna shared several snaps of her customised dress on social media and got a great response, with many branding her a “genius” for coming up with the solution.
