Haircare brand STRAAND launched in Australia last year and now it has expanded to a British audience with a range of formulas that tackle scalp health
An anti-dandruff shampoo that shoppers say “completely heals” itchy and flaky scalps has had its price slashed by 20% ahead of this year’s Black Friday shopping sale. The Crown Cleanse Concentrated Anti-Dandruff Prebiotic Shampoo from STRAAND aims to remove building, itching, irritation and flakiness with its prebiotic formula – and it’s down to £16 at Sephora.
Some five-star reviewers have claimed the product – which usually costs £20 – has left their strands “smooth and silky,” while other customers hailed it as a “game changer” that “drastically helps”.
STRAAND’s microbiome-focused haircare range became available to UK shoppers on Wednesday, November 15 and offers formulas which help to keep hair and scalps healthy.
Having established itself in the Australian haircare market last year, the beauty brand looks to harness the power of prebiotics to keep the excess sebum on our heads in check, to promote a healthy scalp and encourage cell turnover that in turn will combat scalp dryness, flakiness, product build-up and thinning.
It states: “Here at Straand, we’re turning the world of scalp care on its head with a brand that’s shameless, fun and inclusive.
“We believe that looking after your scalp is just as important as your skincare routine – and it should be just as fun. Our results-driven formulas are powered by prebiotics, not chemicals, for results that are truly head turning.”
Speaking of the brand, STRAAND co-founder Sarah Hamilton reflected: “The way we see it, caring for your scalp is an essential part of your self-care routine. It’s time to stop neglecting the skin on your head and embrace a new beauty routine that makes you feel good from root to tip.”
The STRAAND products now available at Sephora UK contain a plant-derived ingredient that helps to rebalance the scalp’s environment, along with pentavitin to transform dry, dull skin, and hydrolysed wheat protein for irritation. They also include lactic acid, which will assist in the removal of “excess oil and product build up,” leaving you flake-free.
Announcing their expansion into the UK on Instagram, STRAAND said: “PSA. We just landed at @SephoraUK.
“We are so excited to extend our growing #CrownCareCommunity (AKA you) to our friends across the pond, and who better to partner with than the iconic @SephoraUK ?!”
Fans of the brand flocked to the comments section to share their thoughts, with one writing: “get into Sephora!!”
Another stated: “Wooohoooo,” while another simply commented: “Amazing”.
But STRAAND isn’t the only brand that claims to help dandruff-prone hair. Head & Shoulders has long been a go-to for hair products combating this issue, while popular hair brands Coco & Eve and Noughty have taken an interest in scalp care.
STRAAND is available now at Sephora, or on its website.
