England and Scotland’s World Cup campaign is underway but fans still have time to upgrade their TV setup before the next game.

The 2026 FIFA World Cup is in full swing as England and Scotland kick off their campaigns in the USA. The tournament is already off to a flying start, with plenty of goals, upsets and controversial decisions in the opening group stage matches.

However, it’s not the same watching the games on an out-of-date TV, which is why many football fans have been upgrading their setups in time for kick-off. With this in mind, we’ve hand-picked several 4K smart TVs on sale at Tesco and other retailers that are ideal for tuning into the World Cup.

There are options for a range of budgets, from a modest 43” Samsung model to a huge 75” QLED. We’ve also highlighted some outdoor essentials for entertaining family and friends throughout the tournament, including a lounge set and BBQ grill.

Here’s a selection of TV and home upgrades ideal for the World Cup.

43″ Samsung Crystal UHD 4K LED Smart TV – £299 (was £329)

This model is from Samsung’s 2025 Crystal UHD series and is on sale until August 31. It’s designed with a Crystal Processor to deliver an enhanced 4K picture with ‘true-to-life’ colour, while High Dynamic Range (HDR) produces more depth and detail in light and dark images.

It also produces crystal-clear sound that follows the action on screen, while Samsung’s Adaptive Sound optimises audio to suit the content, so it’s ideal for any football match. This budget-friendly model has been awarded a 4.2-star rating by Tesco customers, with one saying: “The resolution is fantastic, the sound is the same, and the usability of the TV settings is easy and straightforward.”

Some have criticised Samsung’s user interface (UI), as this review says: “Such a messy UI, with an unresponsive remote control.” While this five-star review says: “The picture quality is excellent, the setup was very easy, and the smart features work perfectly. Fantastic value for money.”

Tesco is knocking £30 off this 43″ Samsung Crystal UHD 4K LED Smart TV ideal for the World Cup.

75″ Samsung Q7F 4K QLED Smart TV – £739 (was £779)

For those preferring a larger screen to fully immerse themselves in the World Cup, this huge 75” Samsung QLED TV is £40 off until July 13. It also undercuts Samsung’s own £899 price tag.

A smaller version is also on sale, with Tesco reducing the 50” Samsung Q7F 4K Ultra HD Smart TV to £355 (was £369). This 2025 TV is powered by an AI Processor that analyses and optimises what’s on screen, so it always produces the most vibrant pictures and clearest sound.

Along with Quantum Dot technology, this ensures it displays more lifelike images and boosted brightness, while the 4K upscaler enhances non-4K content with more contrast and smoother motion. Tesco shoppers are yet to rate this model, but at Samsung’s website, it holds an impressive 4.6-star rating.

One buyer said: “The picture is sharp and colourful, especially when watching 4K films and sport, and the QLED display makes everything look bright and vibrant. The smart features are quick and easy to use, with all the main streaming apps built in, and the overall design looks modern and premium in the living room.”

The same reviewer also noted one area where the TV may fall short, adding: “The only thing I’d say is the sound could be a little stronger, so I’ll probably add a soundbar.”

LG QNED70 AI MiniLED 4K Smart TV – £19.85 per month

Football fans looking to upgrade their TV without the large price tags can find many high-spec TVs at Raylo, which offers models from LG and other major brands on monthly subscriptions. This means shoppers can set up monthly payments from £19.85 for this particular LG QNED TV.

This model launched this year as part of LG’s AI-powered series, with its Dynamic QNED Colour technology making it a decent choice for the World Cup, as it produces more vivid and lifelike colours. It operates with a Mini-LED panel that delivers deeper blacks, brighter highlights and stronger contrast than a traditional LED model, while its AI processor intelligently upscales the quality of images on screen.

LG customers have awarded the 55” QNED TV 4.7 stars, with one saying: “Colours are vibrant and rich, blacks look deep, and the brightness makes everything pop beautifully. Sports are fantastic thanks to the smooth motion handling and responsive performance. The sound quality deserves praise as well. LG really nailed the balance between performance, style, and value with this model; it feels like a high-end home theatre experience.”

Others have praised the TV overall but found it ‘complicated’ to use, saying: “The TV is good value and high quality with good graphics and sound. However, I found it complicated to set up with confusing options and little guidance.”

Charles Bentley St Tropez Rattan Lounge Set – £559 (was £699)

Until July 7, Tesco is knocking £140 off this outdoor space-saving furniture set. It sits six people across a two-seater sofa, two chairs and two stools, all designed in stylish grey.

It also comes with a coffee table that doubles up as convenient, tidy storage for both stools. The whole Charles Bentley set is crafted with PE rattan with a steel frame, glass table top, and polyester cushions, the latter of which are removable and washable for easy cleaning.

Shoppers should note that some self-assembly will be required, but full instructions are provided. Also, Tesco will deliver the set on a pallet, which the recipient will need to dispose of.

Shoppers needing a larger set can find the nine-seater GoodHome Elos Beige Rattan Effect Dining Set at B&Q. This comes with a three-seater sofa, two-seater sofa, four armless chairs and three different-sized tables, but also at a higher £1,250 price tag.

Woodland Grill Heavy Duty Charcoal BBQ Grill – £149.99 (was £199)

This Woodland Grill Heavy Duty Charcoal BBQ Grill is perfect for cooking up a feast while having friends and family over for the big games. It’s also 25% off until July 13. The large capacity BBQ boasts a 71x42cm cooking grid that’s reportedly enough to feed 18 people.

It offers precise temperature control thanks to adjustable air vents on the top and side, as well as an integrated thermometer for complete control. Other standout features of the BBQ grill include a warming rack, a convenient charcoal access door and durable chromed steel bars.

However, as this is a large BBQ, it may not suit smaller gardens or balconies, so some shoppers may prefer the Outsunny Folding Portable BBQ Grill for £42.99 at Amazon.
