A jury heard Paris Wilson threatened her ex-husband Danny Cahalane in a string of texts before he was attacked with sulfuric acid including one saying she hoped he ended up “with acid in your face”
The furious ex-wife of a man who was murdered in a horrific acid attack sent him a string of chilling texts just days before he was doused in sulphuric acid, a court has heard.
A jury heard that Paris Wilson told her former husband Danny Cahalane: “I hope you and your (girlfriend) both end up with acid in your face.” A few days later, two masked men burst into Cahalane’s home in the middle of the night and carried out the brutal assault.
Winchester Crown Court heard the 38-year-old personal trainer, who was also involved in dealing drugs, owed around £120,000 to an alleged drugs kingpin known as Frost. Frost’s real name is Ryan Kennedy and he is believed to be living in Dubai.

Prosecutors say Frost was furious over Danny’s repeated excuses for not paying back the money and was determined to “teach him a significant lesson for his lack of respect” with the prosecution saying Frost had to make sure Cahalane “was not making a fool of him”. In February 2025, two men forced their way into Danny’s bedroom at his Plymouth home while his young daughter was also in the house.
They doused him with sulphuric acid during a terrifying six-and-a-half-minute attack and stabbed him as he fought back. Danny suffered catastrophic injuries and died in hospital ten weeks later. The court heard Wilson, 34, acted as Frost’s “go-to contact in Plymouth.”
She allegedly helped track down her ex-husband so the drugs boss could recover his cash with prosecutors saying this was “on the understanding Frost would make her wealthy”. Prosecutor Joanna Martin KC told jurors Wilson set Danny up because she expected to be paid a few thousand pounds, and because she believed “Danny deserved to be hurt.”
The jury heard Wilson told her mother she “hated her ex-husband so much” and claimed he had robbed Frost. She also messaged Danny saying: “I am exhausted by your lies,” and told him she knew what he had done.
Prosecutors say Wilson understood Frost would “handle” the situation, and that her acid threat showed she knew exactly what was coming. It is further alleged Wilson had earlier lured Danny to her home the month before the attack, where three men tried to abduct him.
The acid attack itself was carried out by two men — Israel Augustus, 25, who is charged with another man, the court heard. Danny later told police from his hospital bed that the attackers were armed with knives and a screwdriver. He said they demanded to know where the money was as acid was poured over him.
In a desperate struggle, Danny claimed he struck one of the assailants with the screwdriver and tried to stab him before the pair fled through the back of the house and escaped in a stolen car parked nearby.
Wilson denies murder, manslaughter, attempted kidnap, attempted grievous bodily harm, and participating in an organised crime gang between January and April 2025. Nine other defendants — seven men and two women — also deny a range of related charges.
Wilson’s trial continues.
