Boxing Day Sales are soon set to launch at a number of our favourite high street stores, and few are as popular as health and beauty chain Boots. The must-shop sale regularly draws in thousands of shoppers looking to snag deals on beauty, skincare, fragrance and more.
The sale offers shoppers the perfect opportunity to stock up on their favourite products, purchase late-season gifts, or plan ahead for next Christmas or birthdays throughout the year. And with discounts usually of up to 50% off gift sets, it’s no surprise that the sale has earned a reputation as one of the best post-Christmas bargains on the high street and online.
I actually worked at the retailer for five consecutive years from 2015-2019, and since joining The Mirror ’s shopping team, I’ve continued to keep a keen eye on the retailer’s highly anticipated sale each year. Now, I’ve taken a look at previous launch dates and deals to predict when the Boots Boxing Day sale will launch in 2024, and what will be included.

It’s certainly no secret that the in-store sale is set to go live on Boxing Day, as it has done every single year. Back when I was a customer assistant, I would regularly see customers queue up outside before the store opened on December 26 – but did you know you can actually shop the sale online days before?
When will the Boots Boxing Day Sale launch?
In previous years, the online sale was launched on Christmas Eve (2020), but from 2021-2023, the sale started slightly earlier on December 23. Boots is yet to confirm when their sale will launch online, but we think it could be either December 23 or 24 based on previous years. For shoppers planning to head out to stores, it’s worth noting that most Boots branches will operate reduced holiday hours on Boxing Day.
What will the Boots Boxing Day deals be?
For those keen to make the most of the sale, I predict we’ll see the return of 50% off seasonal gifts – so anything that was part of the Boots 3 for 2 – which is usually the main focus of the Boots sale. Last year, there was also 50% off selected children’s Mothercare clothing and savings of up to 1/3 on selected Premium and Fragrance gift sets, though it’s not concrete which categories will see reductions, and if so, how much they’ll be slashed by.
If there is any remaining stock left in the weeks after Christmas, Boots often drops the prices even further to 70 per cent off . Between 2017 and 2023, this deal has launched at various times between January and April, but the last two years, launched in February, so there’s a chance we could see some items reduced even further.
There’s sometimes even a 90% off sale, but this tends to be in store only. The only thing I would say is that if you really do want something in the sale, I wouldn’t hold out for further price cuts as there’s a very good chance you could miss out altogether.
What are the best Boots deals to shop now?
Ahead of the Boxing Day sales, there are still plenty of great deals to be had, and one of the best places to look for them is on their Star Gifts page. For example, the No7 Ultimate Beauty 9 Piece Collection is valued at over £135 and is already a bargain at £85. However, as part of this week’s rotation of Star Gifts, customers can get it even cheaper at £39. This saves £96 compared to buying the products individually, and makes each item inside work out at less than £4.50 each.
Another great offer is on the Elemis Green Fig 3-Piece Face and Body Collection. Worth £77.50, it was priced at £54, but is currently £48.60 for a limited time. We also love the Liz Earle Glowing Hydrating Routine 4 Full-Size Piece Gift Set Star Gift, which is worth £93. It contains the Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Face Cleanser 200ml, Eyebright Soothing Eye Lotion 150ml, Instant Boost Skin Face Tonic 200ml, Hydrating Cream Face Mask 75ml and two Pure Cotton Cloths all for £38.
On Tuesday, we’ll see the return of £10 Tuesday, which regularly sees dozens of beauty products and gift sets reduced to a tenner. Shoppers can expect to see brands like No7, Olay, Nivea and more in this sale, where customers can stock up on their favourites, or grab some last minute Christmas gifts.
When it comes to perfume deals, it could pay to shop early. As previously mentioned, last Boxing Day we saw perfume and aftershave prices slashed by up to a third, but some are currently better than half price at Boots, and could go back up in price ahead of December 26. The Lancôme La Vie Est Belle Iris Absolu Eau de Parfum 50ml is usually £100, but is down to £47 for Christmas. Meanwhile, YSL Black Opium Illicit Green Eau de Parfum 75ml is £54, down from £108.
When is the Christmas last order date for Boots?
Anyone looking to treat loved ones to beauty bits is in luck — the beloved high-street retailer is offering next-day delivery as late as 23 December, meaning shoppers can get deliveries for Christmas Eve. If you’re opting for standard home delivery, you’ll need to order by Saturday 21, by 12 p.m. for delivery on Christmas Eve.

Elsewhere, Liz Earle has launched 25% off selected products ahead of Christmas. The Smooth & Nourished Skin Collection has dropped from £60 to £45, containing a Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser, Gentle Face Exfoliator, Instant Boost Skin Tonic and Superskin Moisturiser with Natural Neroli. But you’ll need to order by 2pm, on December 20 to get your gifts in time for Christmas.
