The popular Hugo Boss fragrance has been reduced for a limited time, and it’s ‘cheaper than Duty Free’
Christmas shoppers have been flocking to Boots to snap up a 200ml bottle of aftershave that’s now more than half-price. The health and beauty retailer has added a range of fragrances to its ‘star gifts’, which for a limited time, includes a best-selling men’s scent reduced by over 50%.
As a former employee at the perfume counter in Boots, I can attest that Hugo Boss fragrances are a top choice for gifting. The brand’s Boss Bottled Night 200ml has seen a price drop from £114 to £51, saving customers a whopping £63 on the RRP, Birmingham Live reports.
This warm, spicy and woody fragrance, with notes of birch leaf, cardamom and musk, creates a ‘sensual, edgy’ scent that’s been a hit with shoppers. Now cheaper than Duty Free where the same size bottle is priced at £94.20, it’s no wonder bargain hunters are grabbing it for their December gifts.

The aftershave has garnered a 4.3-star rating on the Boots website, with shoppers praising its value for money and ‘amazing scent’. One customer said: “Bought as a gift for my Fiance, massive bottle for such a great price. Hugo boss is amazing and makes for a lovely day-to-day aftershave.”
“Amazing scent, my husband loves this scent and so do I,” said another. “It’s fresh long lasting. Always look for a bargain- boots never fails to provide one”
The bottle has been price-matched over at Amazon, too, where more than 24,000 customers have reviewed Boss Bottled Night Eau de Toilette. One shopper said: “Good price. Fast delivery. Given as a gift, but I know it smells divine!”
A second wrote: “Amazing scent. I love it and after about 20 minutes it gives off a lovely soft, fresh smell. I think it would suit most males. I feel it has quite a classy smell, too.”
One person, however, had a slight issue with the longevity of the scent. They explained: “A great, fresh, vibrant, modern scent which comes in an attractive bottle. It doesn’t need to be saved as a night scent, despite the name, as it can easily pass as a sporty, uplifting aftershave for daytime business. The only slight issue is that it doesn’t stay on for particularly long.”
Other Star Gift savings at Boots include the Rabanne Pure XS Eau De Toilette 50ml, now £34 down from £57. Or, for her, Viktor and Rolf Flowerbomb Ruby Orchid Eau de Parfum 30ml is down from £67 to £43.50.
