Couple’s lose £182m EuroMillions jackpot ‘as ticket payment didn’t go through’
A couple say they were denied a £182million EuroMillions jackpot after their numbers came up but their ticket payment failed to process.
Rachel Kennedy and Liam McCrohan were left “absolutely heartbroken” when they discovered their regular numbers of 6, 12, 22, 29, 33, 6 and 11 had been drawn.
They had played the same numbers for five consecutive weeks before all seven digits appeared.
Rachel explained she had set up her account to automatically purchase a EuroMillions ticket for each draw – but when paying the ticket back in 2021 was attempted, the lottery account had insufficient funds.
After checking her account following Friday’s draw, she was met with a message stating her numbers were a “winning match” – however her heart sank when she realised the glitch.
