As hayfever season returns and the weather gets warmer, Dyson’s air purifier with a cooling fan is a must-buy – especially now it’s been slashed by £100 in the spring sale

With the temperatures finally rising and hayfever season here, meaning it’s never been a better time to invest in an air purifier that helps reduce pollen and keep rooms cool. We often have to decide whether we want to open the windows and let a breeze – and pollen – in, or to keep them closed and deal with the stuffy, warm air.

However, the Dyson Purifier Cool PC1 Purifying Fan manages to remedy both issues. Not only does the purifier help remove pollen particles from the air, but it offers a cooling fan at the same time, so you don’t need to choose between sweating or itchy hayfever eyes. It’s also currently on sale with a huge £100 discount, bringing it down from £449.99 to £349.99.

The Purifier Cool PC1 Purifying Fan senses when there’s pollutants in the air and captures them, trapping them in the filter. It captures gases and 99.95% of pollutants including microscopic allergens that can be as small as 0.1 microns, including pollen, pet dander and dust.

You can use the MyDyson app to control and monitor it so you can see exactly which pollutants it’s caught, and it even comes with a remote control that lets you set the fan off without having to leave the comfort of your sofa. The fan has a powerful airflow which helps circulate air around the room quickly, bringing temperatures down and stopping your room from feeling stuffy and warm.

If you want one that you can use all year round, Dyson has also slashed the price of its Dyson Purifier Hot+Cool Gen1 HP10 Purifying Fan Heater too, dropping it from £549.99 to £399.99. This not only purifies the air and has a cooling fan for spring and summer, but it also offers a warm air option that you can run during winter instead of your heating.

For some more affordable options, the OmniAir 41″ Premium Bladeless Tower Fan and Air Purifier from Pro Breeze is now £154.99 down from £169.99 and combines air purifying with a cooling fan. You could also shop the 56cm Tower Fan with Air Purifier from Kouamor at Amazon, which is £59.99 and has an oscillating function.

Dyson shoppers have been delighted with the Purifier Cool PC1 Purifying Fan though, with one reviewer writing: “A great buy! The Dyson app is fabulous giving easy access to all control. Night-mode gives a very quiet function too. I have a large area to cover and Dyson does the job very well. Airflow is also effective.”

Another agreed: “The Dyson air purifier is absolutely worth the investment. It’s sleek, quiet, and incredibly effective at improving air quality – I noticed a difference within days. The smart features and real-time air monitoring are a huge plus, and it’s easy to use and maintain. Highly recommended for anyone who values clean, fresh air at home!”

However one did mention: “Nice built fan but was disappointed with the airflow, was expecting more when from it on full power.”
