Shoppers have said the ‘vibrant’ and plush seats ‘look slick’ and how ‘perfectly comfortable’ they are for visitors

Dunelm has shoppers covered if you may have invited one too many over for Easter and there are not enough seats to go around. You don’t need to spend a fortune to avoid having guests sit on the floor.

The store’s Emily Velvet Folding Dining Chair isn’t your typical guest chair. Whilst people might expect something uncomfortable upon hearing you’ve been given a fold-up seat, they’ll soon be the envy of the table when parking themselves on this velvet seat.

Boasting a luxe style, Dunelm says this rich-velvet chair is perfect for adding some extra seating to your home. Perfect for space-saving, this chair folds away and can be stored easily, making it very versatile, the homeware store adds.

It comes in several different colours, all of which are affordable at £15 each. At the time of writing, Dunelm has a code you can enter online to get a further 10% off your purchase of two chairs.

With this specific style of chair, a pair would cost £30, but it goes down to £27 instead. The deal isn’t applied automatically, though, and shoppers will have to enter the code DININGBUY2 at checkout.

Hundreds of shoppers have raved about these seats. They have achieved an almost flawless 4.8 star out of five from 425 reviews.

One said: “Absolutely perfect for guests and everyday use. Very comfy and fold up nicely – great price as well. Bought two of these.” Another added: “What a beautiful, vibrant colour! They fold away neatly and can be packed away easily, ready for use at any time.”

A third wrote: “Perfect extra dining chairs. Look slick and perfectly comfortable for standby ones.” Someone else posted: “Great little chair for small spaces and sturdy too.” And, a fifth put in their review: “Looks and feels more expensive and it’s comfortable to sit on too.”

A small number of shoppers did not find these chairs as incredible as other reviews would suggest. One claimed, “It’s a lovely-looking chair, and I am very pleased with the colour (I chose the emerald green one), but unfortunately, it isn’t the most comfortable chair—but nothing a cushion can sort out.”

Another commented: “The angle of the legs means that they dig into the floor when someone sits on them.” They added: “Not ideal on brand-new flooring. Not sure yet if I’m going to buy some caps or just return them.”

There are many options for getting affordable bonus chairs in time for any extra guests you have coming this Easter. On Amazon, there is the Harbour Housewares Padded Folding Chair, which comes in various colours and costs just £15.99 each.

Alternatively, over at Argos, the Habitat Wooden Folding Chair sells for £16 each. Described as “built solid”, these chairs don’t come with padding, leading many customers to pair them with items like these £17 Chambray Seat Cushions, which are sold in packs of two and come in duck egg blue, mustard yellow or blush pink.
