Reviewers have praised the retailer’s £25 gadget, which has numerous five-star reviews

Dunelm shoppers are raving about a £25 moisture absorber that’s said to ‘clear condensation’. For many Brits, excess moisture is a common winter problem, one that can create bad odours, damp, and, sometimes, black mould. However, there are solutions that can help homeowners, such as improving ventilation or investing in devices like moisture absorbers or dehumidifiers.

According to reviewers, Dunelm’s Absodry Duo Family Moisture Absorber does the job and ‘looks pretty at the same time’. Several shoppers have reported positive results.

Shoppers might also like the Unibond AERO 360 Compact Moisture Absorber device, which is £15 at Ocado. Other options include the Bostik Breathe Moisture Absorber 1.2L, available on sale for £11.98 from Toolstation, or the Osmo 1.3L Moisture Absorber, which is on sale for £19.99 at Debenhams.

For those interested in the Absodry Duo Family Moisture Absorber, more information is available on Dunelm’s website. The product description claims: “Remove bad odours and excess moisture with ease to help your room’s air become cleaner.

“Absodry Duo Family is the moisture absorber that blends nicely into any room in your home or at the workplace. With its Scandinavian design and minimalistic shape, it gives a modern and decorative expression. It works in silence and is easily emptied of water when the indicator shows full.”

The description continues: “Absodry Duo Family is delivered with a refill of 600g with moisture-absorbing crystals. One bag lasts 1-3 months depending on the humidity where it is placed.”

The Moisture Absorber is highly regarded by reviewers, earning over 50 five-star ratings. The majority of comments on the Dunelm website are positive, though not everyone was impressed.

One happy shopper said: “Feels good quality, looks good, blends into room well, good sized well for collecting water.” A second reviewer wrote: “Great product is works brilliantly in the bathroom, was bigger than I thought but just means it doesn’t need to be emptied as often, nice dark grey colour and the cloth bag inside is easy to change, a little overpriced but definitely clears the condensation.”

However, someone else found: “Doesn’t work as well as expected, windows still have condensation and much larger than anticipated.” Another review read: “Maybe if you put it in the bathroom or in a bedroom by the window, it works. I had it in the hallway for a week, where the skylight has serious condensation issues, and it does nothing unfortunately.”

Despite these comments, many shoppers were pleased. Another shared: “It works and looks pretty at the same time. We got it for the bathroom it has worked but only had it a few weeks so will have to wait and see how great it is. As we have had some bad condensation in there even with the bathroom window open. But so far it does work and we can see the water building up inside.”
