Dunelm has launched a brand new cordless lamp that’s already been snapped up by shoppers who’ve given it five star reviews because it’s ‘lovely for dark corners’ without plugs

Spring is the ideal time for a little home makeover, and if you’re sick of looking at dark, gloomy corners in your room that don’t have nearby plug sockets, a cordless lamp can make all the difference. Dunelm has just launched a brand new design that doesn’t require plugs or cables, so you can place it anywhere in your home to add a little extra light.

The FlexiCell Geneva Rechargeable Touch Dimmable LED Table Lamp is a new spring addition to Dunelm’s homeware collection, and comes in two different sizes. The small is priced at £30 and measures 32cm high, 13cm wide and 13cm deep, whilst the large option is £38, and comes in at 52cm high, 15cm wide and15cm deep.

Dunelm’s ‘best affordable egg chair on the market’ is back for spring 2026 and it’s under £200

It’s fully rechargeable so you can place it on tables, sideboard, countertops or windowsills without worrying about finding a power source or trailing extension cables all over your room. Instead it uses rechargeable batteries which are fully replaceable, but you can also plug it into a USB plug if you want constant brightness without worrying about it running out of battery.

The FlexiCell Geneva LED Table Lamp gives 10 hours of light on a single charge when used at full brightness, but it’s also dimmable so you can adjust the brightness levels to suit the mood. There are three different levels of brightness to pick from, and you can swap through them with a simple touch of the base.

You’ll get the battery and the charging cable included with the FlexiCell Geneva LED Table Lamp but the USB plug isn’t, so if you want it permanently plugged in but don’t have a USB socket nearby, you’ll need to pick up an extra USB plug for it. You can also swap the FlexiCell battery amongst other Dunelm products like light up mirrors and bathroom lights, and these can be recycled at all Dunelm stores once it’s time to change it out.

Cordless lamps are becoming an increasingly popular option for interior design fans, and you can pick up some other great designs elsewhere. At H&M the Rechargeable Table Lamp is £24.99 and comes in four different colours, with a modern mushroom-style design.

If you want something more elegant and timeless, Addison Ross’ Cherry Lacquer Rechargeable Bobbin LED Lamp is £125 and is available in 15 amazing colours. Meanwhile Dusk has a great pick for those on a budget, with the Charon LED Rechargeable Wireless Lamp now on sale for £19.20 down from £24.

Although Dunelm’s FlexiCell Geneva LED Table Lamp is new to the market, it’s already accrued a positive response from shoppers with a solid five star rating. One person wrote: “Very good light for the price highly recommend it.”

Whilst another agreed: “Lovely to light up dark corner. Battery lasts the 10 hours on full.”

Meanwhile the third and (currently) last review says: “These lamps are brilliant!!! Really nice looking lamps, I was worried they might look cheap, they do not!!! I was pleasantly surprised just how much light they give out, you can run them off the batteries or by the usb cable (note you have to charge the batteries separately, the usb cable doesn’t charge the batteries while they are in the lamp). I bought these in case of power cuts, but have found these are great to move about and light gloomy spaces etc…. I’m going to get a couple more!!!!”
