Gleni Goleci, 27, an Albanian illegal immigrant, pleaded guilty to charges of drugs and possession of criminal property offences when he appeared at Isleworth Crown Court

A jailed drug dealer ran an amazingly “sophisticated” system to hide his supply.

Gleni Goleci, 27, was apprehended by officers with the Organised Crime Partnership while he was on Pottery Road, Kew, West London, in January this year. When officers searched his Hyundai vehicle they found 1.5 kilos of cocaine and about £20,000 in cash in a sophisticated hide in the boot of his car.

It was operated by a system of buttons which had to be pressed in a specific order to open it. Officers then searched a flat in Holland Gardens, Brentford, where they found 6kg of cocaine and about £60,000 in cash.

The drugs were hidden behind a sofa and inside a cupboard. They also found a replica Colt air pistol as well as equipment associated with drugs supply, some of which included a large box of disposable drugs, a knife and scales.

The 7.5kg of drugs is estimated to have had a street value of £350,000, according to Mirror affiliate MyLondon. Goleci, an illegal immigrant from Albania with no fixed abode, was charged with drugs and possession of criminal property offences.

Goleci appeared at Isleworth Crown Court on Friday where he pleaded guilty and sentenced to seven-and-a-half years’ imprisonment. Andrew Tickner, NCA Operations Manager from the OCP, said: “Our primary purpose is to the protect Londoners from harmful offenders like Gleni Goleci.

“The serious criminality he was involved in fuels violence, intimidation and exploitation in communities. The NCA and Metropolitan Police continue to work in partnership to disrupt the organised crime groups behind drug trafficking. Our commitment to pursuing the most harmful criminals is relentless, and we will continue to bring them to justice.”
