Some shoppers have turned their backs on the oven in favour of the quick and easy air fryer that’s currently on sale

Debenhams customers have said they “hardly use the oven” since making one worthwhile purchase. Millions of homes around the world now have an air fryer in the kitchen – and the January sales could be the best time to join the crowd.

The Tower Vortx 6L Air Fryer is a striking white – standing out from most air fryer models. It boasts a simple-to-use digital display and claims to “cook food 30% faster” than the traditional oven.

It could be the perfect time to invest in an air fryer, especially if you’re embarking on a healthy New Year’s resolution. The kitchen gadget uses “little or no oil” to deliver “healthy yet beautifully crisp meals”.

As well as saving on time, you could stand to save some money too with this model. The online description claims that “you could save up to 70% on your energy bills by swapping to air fryer cooking”.

The digital touch panel allows you to set the temperature timer at the touch of a button using the eight menu pre-sets, making cooking nearly effortless. The “generous” 6L basket size allows for plenty of space to cook a variety of meals.

Dozens of shoppers have spoken about how they wouldn’t be without the device since purchasing one themselves. One said: “Love it and it cooks food to perfection.”

Another added: “I’m extremely happy with my air fryer, it’s made my life much easier.” A third wrote: “I love this air fryer! It’s my first ever one and it cooks so well. It’s easy to use, looks good in our kitchen and is easy to clean as well. I would highly recommend it.”

Someone else shared that they “hardly used the oven since [they] bought this” air fryer. A fifth person commented: “It looks really stylish and can cook enough for 3 [people] without any trouble.”

However, not everyone was completely happy with their purchase. Despite no reviews dipping below four stars, a few people picked up on minor issues like one customer who found “the digital display lights across the top were too dim”.

Elsewhere online, another buyer suggested: “Works greatly, although it doesn’t bake on the bottom side, which is pointless considering it has the bake option. Still very cool product, though.”

There are dozens of options available at great prices online with other retailers. For example, Ninja has its January sale on at the moment which includes the Ninja AF100 Air Fryer on sale for £69.99, down from £99.99.

Elsewhere, Amazon has the PureMate Air Fryer with a 5.5L drawer – quite large for a single-drawer device. It’s currently marked down from £79.99 down to £59.99 and comes in both white or black options.
