Designer sunglasses don’t always come cheap, but we’ve found a gorgeous designer Marc Jacobs pair on sale for a fraction of their usual cost, and will stay on trend for years

With longer, brighter, sunnier days now here, you’re going to want to have a pair of the best sunglasses with you every time you step out of the house. And if you’re lusting after some from a luxury designer brand, we’ve found a gorgeous pair currently hugely slashed in price.

Debenhams sells a huge array of sunglasses from high-end designer brands including Jimmy Choo, Tom Ford and Marc Jacobs, and lots are currently discounted as part of the retailer’s huge spring sale. However, it was this particular pair of Marc Jacobs shades that particularly caught our eye (excuse the pun), both for their timeless design and their huge 67% saving.

‘I’ve tried dozens of tinted moisturisers and this is the best for natural glowing skin’

‘This mascara changed my mind about tubing formulas – it gives dramatic lashes instantly’

Debenhams has currently reduced the price of the Marc Jacobs Grey Lensed Black Framed Sunglasses from £180 to £60, with an extra 25% off its previous sale price. This makes it a great time to snap up a pair of designer shades for a far more affordable price than usual.

Debenhams calls them ‘luxury and sophistication’, and we’d have to agree, and their classic black frame, rounded square shape and gradient tint lenses made them a timeless, suits-all design that won’t go out of fashion any time soon. They also feature 100% UVA/UVB protection that confirms to British standards, and come with a sunglasses case, cleaning cloth and care instructions – a great bargain.

And they’re clearly proving popular, as the Debenhams website shows that dozens of shoppers have viewed them and added them to their basket in the last 24 hours.

If this particular style doesn’t appeal to you, however, there are plenty more reduced pairs to browse on the Debenhams website. We also love this aviator-style of Marc Jacobs sunglasses, down from £160 to £63.75, this classic pair of Gucci cat eye shades that our beauty editor Laura owns, down from £280 to £204, and this retro-style Jimmy Choo design with a whopping 69% off.

If you’re looking for alternative options, we’ve found a £55 pair that look just like the sold-out shades Molly-Mae Hague was seen wearing recently.

Meanwhile Christine McGuinness was seen sporting the Ray-Ban Kiliane Bio-Based Sunglasses in this season’s trendiest shade, butter yellow – a great alternative to the pricier Saint Laurent SL 534 Sunrise Rectangle Sunglasses, which are priced at £295. They feature a similar rectangular frame and transparent yellow colour, with dark tinted lenses.
