‘Highly recommend this as an entry level home coffee machine especially if you are upgrading from a pod machine’

Espresso machines can be a tasty upgrade for those looking to move away from the world of instant and get involved with a morning coffee brew. Luckily, those after an entry level machine could be in luck with a deal from Amazon, but it won’t last long.

There’s some convenient features thanks to the two level drip tray that offers options for shorter cups or longer glasses alike, while being easily removable for a quick clean. Weighing in at 5.04kg, this machine has some heft, although its sleek aesthetic is sure to compliment almost any kitchen counter.

As an alternative, shoppers could check out the Beko CaffeExperto CEP5304X Espresso Coffee Machine – Silver from Currys, currently priced at £99. Back to the De’Longhi Manual Coffee Machine Stilosa EC260.GR, Amazon shoppers found their machines useful. One said: “For the price this is a great entry level home coffee machine. Easy to use and setup. Makes great coffee and [is] easy to clean. Even comes with a cup warmer so at this price you cannot go wrong. Highly recommend this as an entry level home coffee machine especially if you are upgrading from a pod machine.”

Another said: “An excellent low cost espresso machine, that is versatile for other coffee types. The frother/ hot water steamer is the selling point. Compact and low cost requiring espresso coffee.”

A third added: “I bought this for my daughter and she loves it. It looks great and she loves making coffee with it. It’s easy to use and clean.”

Other shoppers left feedback however, one would have preferred pulling espresso shots to be a bit more automated. They said: “The one downfall is that it doesn’t tell you once a single or double shot is poured, keeps on pouring out. You need to stop it when you think the right amount has been poured.”

Another found issues with the frother, they said: “I am very particular about my coffee, and this makes great espresso. The steam wand is clunky with the metal cover, but remove that, and you easily get perfect silky milk. I’ve owned far more expensive machines than this by Philips and Sage/Breville, and the espresso this machine makes is just as good, if not better than that made in higher-end machines. It’s pretty easy to learn how to use with a little practice and some YouTube videos, nice and compact, and easy to maintain. I am really happy with it, especially for the price.”
