The heartbroken dad of a 19-year-old tragically killed her pet lurcher has issued a warning to dog owners as he reveals the moment he found his daughter.
Jamie-Lea Biscoe was killed after her family pet of seven years allegedly attacker her inside her home. Dad Jack, 37, said he found his teen daughter on his bedroom floor with a bite wound to her neck but said the pet had no history of aggression or biting people. Emergency services rushed to the home, in Leaden Roding, Essex, at around 10.45pm on Friday but she was tragically pronounced dead at the scene.
The father, 37, said the family bought the female dog named Shy, which has since been seized by police, as a seven week old puppy and claimed it was Jamie-Lea’s “best friend”.
Jack said the pet used to sleep on his daughter’s bed but his 19-year-old was “not killed by an XL Bully, she was killed by a genuine family dog”.

In a warning to other pet owner, Jack speaking to The Sun, said: “I thought I could trust that dog with my life and it took my daughter’s life.”
Jack was arrested by Essex Police after Jamie-Lea’s death on suspicion of being in charge of a dog dangerously out of control causing injury resulting in death. He was released on bail on Saturday night.
The dad has two other dogs, Shy’s puppies, which were reportedly downstairs at the time of the attack, and all three animals were seized by officers.
Assistant Chief Constable Stuart Hooper, on Saturday, said: “”I know this incident will be a shock to the local community. My thoughts, and those of us all at Essex Police, are with the loved ones of the woman who died yesterday. We will have officers in the area throughout today so please come and speak to them if you have any information or have any concerns. Experienced detectives are leading the investigation to understand exactly what has happened.”
