Sports fans can save while watching all the big games with this TV provider

This year’s Black Friday saw many tantalising deals from TV providers. The discount mayhem may be over now, but sports fans who missed out can still pick up a fantastic offer from Virgin Media with three months free on two of its most popular broadband and TV packages with Sky Sports.

First up is the Sport Bundle, a great pick for armchair supporters as it includes 9 Sky Sports channels such as Main Event and F1, and over 200 TV channels in total. It also comes with a Netflix standard subscription, so viewers can catch the highly anticipated Stranger Things Season 5 over the winter holidays.

On the internet side, the package includes a 362 Mbps connection, which Virgin says is ideal for four to six people. The plan costs £56.99 a month, and since the first three months are free, that’s a saving of more than £170.

For those who want even more to watch, the Sport + Cinema Bundle costs £66.99 a month, with a £200 saving since the first three months are free. This package adds extra movie-focused channels, bringing the count to more than 210, including Sky Cinema HD for watching the latest blockbuster flicks at home.

The connection speed with this plan is 516 Mbps, which Virgin Media says is great for homes of six to eight people. Like the Sport Bundle, it includes a standard ad-supported Netflix subscription.

Elsewhere, Sky offers a bundle of Essential TV, Sky Sports, and TNT Sports for £60 a month for 24 months. There’s also an option for Essential TV, Sky Sports, and 150 Mbps fibre broadband for £55 a month, along with several other packages to meet different needs.

Over at EE, those who are quick can still snap up the network’s Black Friday deal, six months of EE TV Sport for only £2 a month. The package includes TNT Sports, which covers the UEFA Champions League plus Europa League and Conference, and shoppers can add broadband for £28.99 a month.

As for Virgin Media, several customers have left positive reviews on Trustpilot. One said: “Very pleased with the product from Virgin, I took out the Ultimate package and no complaints as of yet. Satisfied with the equipment and choice of viewing Sport and Cinema, and a good choice of all other programmes plus Netflix.”

Another added: “Easy to access and navigate. Some great new programmes, and plenty of sport.” While another mentioned bundle updates: “Found it very easy to update my bundle and include Sky Sports, which we are really enjoying, especially the ladies’ cricket tournaments.”

One customer gave four stars as part of a longer review, saying: “Currently, I am happy with my Virgin deal, although my Broadband seems a little slower than on previous occasions. It’s great to have BT Sport included in the Sky Sports package.”

Another noted an issue with recording sports: “Good services provided, but there are a couple of things I noticed that would improve some areas. If a programme is being recorded, like golf or football, for example, and there is a play-off or extra time, the programme finishes at the time the planner says it should, so I keep having to add ‘extra’ minutes when I set a recording.”
