Claudia Winkleman is back on The Traitors with another perfectly curated countryside chic outfit, and this time it’s her fair isle jumper that’s got us all talking

The final week of season four of The Traitors has officially commenced, which means more lying, shock banishments and, of course, sensational knitwear from Claudia Winkleman. The host’s wardrobe did not disappoint during Wednesday’s episode, when she wore a grey fair isle knit jumper for the daily breakfast announcement,

Arriving into the dining room in a pair of burgundy Chloe trousers, some sky high Alexander McQueen heels and a grey fair isle knit jumper, The look proved that sometimes all you really need is a classic bit of knitwear to make an outfit special, with Claudia’s patterned jumper being the star of the show despite being paired such lofty designer pieces.

Fans on Instagram were quick to praise stylist Sinead McKeefry for the look, with one saying: “Loved that jumper” and another writing: “It was the coat and jumper for me tonight – what I wouldn’t give…” Her exact knit was Hambro & Miller’s Nordic Fair Isle jumper, which is priced at £445 and made from baby alpaca fibres which give it softness, warmth and breathability.

As each jumper from Hambro & Miller is handmade, the designer now has an eight week lead time on any pieces you order, so although it’ll be beautifully made, you may have to wait if you want to snap up Claudia’s exact jumper. However, if your patience – or your budget – won’t quite stretch to Claudia’s Nordic Fair Isle jumper, there are some other brilliant pieces on the high street that’ll give you a similar look. We’ve rounded up some of our favourites that suit all budgets.

Cos Fair Isle Brushed-Cashmere Jumper – £199

Cos is another brand that Claudia has worn on several occasions, particularly during this season of The Traitors where two of her knits – the burgundy stripe and the black fringe – both hailed from the Scandinavian-inspired brand. This is still on the pricey side, but is made from 100% cashmere, which means it’s soft, luxurious and will withstand the test of time.

ASOS DESIGN Fairisle Funnel Neck Jumper – £35

A great affordable option is this funnel neck jumper from ASOS, which comes in a similar silhouette to Claudia’s. It’s a slightly darker charcoal shade of grey, and features a larger fair isle print, but is just as wearable and cosy for the winter days.

Board Angels Fairisle Crew Neck Sweater – £12.99

One of the most budget-friendly picks we’ve spotted, this fair isle knit from MandM is perfect for getting the Claudia look without breaking the bank. Its light grey colourway, patterned yoke and the ribbed cuffs and hem make it look far more expensive than it is.

White Stuff Claude Fairisle Crew Neck – £52 (was £65)

Sure this might technically be menswear, but Claudia has already proved she’s not adverse to mixing in some men’s pieces with her haute country looks, so why should we be? It has a crew neck and a relaxed fit that makes it perfect for throwing on with everything from jeans to tailored trousers for an instantly chic look.

Massimo Dutti Wool Jacquard Knit Sweater – £119

If you’re willing to splurge a little more, this Massimo Dutti jumper is made from 100% wool, which means it’s warm, breathable and will last a lifetime. It has a wide, relaxed shape and ribbed trims which give it that luxurious, high end look, and is a must for those who prefer natural materials.

Finery London Belina Grey Marle Knitted Jumper – £35.40 (was £59)

If you prefer a chunkier knit, this one from Finery London is absolutely perfect. It has 8% wool blended into the material for a little extra warmth, and a slightly higher rounded neckline for that stylish finish that makes it perfect for layering.
