The high street retailer is selling a ‘stylish’ bag that’s ‘perfect for carrying your essentials’

Primark is stocking a ‘stylish’ £11 bag that almost resembles a pricier alternative. The fashion retailer often impresses high street shoppers with its affordable clothing and accessories, and the store could have a new must-have style on its shelves.

The retailer is selling a £11 Faux Leather Mini Tote Bag that promises to ‘elevate’ your outfits, and it arguably looks similar to Manila Grace’s Felicia Knot In Faux Leather. Offered by the Italian brand Manila Grace, the ‘lookalike’ bag, with similar knotted handles, is much more expensive, though. It’s currently selling online for approximately £135.

Shoppers should note that the bags aren’t identical, although they could both prove popular with customers seeking luxury on a budget. On the one hand, the bags appear similar to each other, as both brands opted for a square mini tote in a classic black colour. Both are also finished with a distinctive knot detail, which makes them stand out from other styles.

However, the pricier style has a textured finish, unlike Primark’s smooth finish, and the Italian brand’s bag is finished with a gold-tone logo, whereas the cheaper alternative is plain. Nonetheless, the Primark bag could impress fans of the more expensive style, looking for a similar bag at a lower price point.

For shoppers interested in the Primark bag, it is described as a ‘mini tote bag in faux leather with knotted carry handles, zip closure and crossbody strap.’ The full product description reads: “Elevate your everyday look with this Twist Detail Mini Tote Bag. Crafted from smooth faux leather in a sleek black shade, it has a structured, square silhouette that keeps essentials neatly organised.

“Twin top handles are finished with a distinctive knot detail, while an adjustable, detachable shoulder strap gives you versatile styling options. A vertical seam down the front adds subtle design interest, complemented by gold-toned hardware on the strap attachments.

“Compact yet practical, this mini tote is perfect for carrying your essentials in style, whether you hold it by hand or wear it crossbody.” The bag is available in black, khaki, or ecru, with some colour options available to click and collect. Alternatively, shoppers can check in-store availability on Primark’s website.

For shoppers interested in the Manila Grace bag, the full product description reads: “Minimalist elegance and sophisticated details meet in this Manila Grace handbag.

“Crafted from a textured leather-look material, it features a compact and structured silhouette, accented by double loop handles with decorative knots and gold-tone metal accents. The gold-tone MG logo on the front adds a distinctive and refined touch. Ideal for adding a touch of sophistication to your everyday looks.”

The bag is available in black, burgundy, or cappuccino. Shoppers can buy the bag from the brand’s website, though it’s worth noting the website says UK customers may incur customs charges.
