The Debenhams heated airer currently has a 60% discount, making the price more appealling
The winter months often lead to an unsightly mess when it comes to drying clothes. Garments frequently have to be draped over radiators which, as well as not looking great, can also lead to moisture problems like damp and condensation.
But a heated clothes airer that shoppers say “keeps washing off radiators” has 60% off in a Debenhams sale. It takes the price of the Alivio Electric Heated Clothes Dryer down from £99.99 to £39.99.
It features 20 efficient heating rods that are strategically placed throughout the rack to ensure the clothes are dried evenly. The unit, which folds away for storage, is said to “reduce energy consumption”, with it being much cheaper to operate than the likes of a tumble dryer.

Among the buyers praising the product, one said: “Really good I can get my clothes dry without them being all over radiators.” Another continued: “Bought as a Christmas Gift, was well received, so convenient and keeps washing off radiators. A good price, on sale.”
A third added: “Got on sale for £40, it’s brilliant for drying clothes. Haven’t had to use the tumble dryer. Cheap to run on electric too.” A fourth went on: “I love this airer, great size and dries the washing really well, also folds up easily to store away.”
There are some shoppers who weren’t delighted with the airer, however, with one said: “Doesn’t fold down easily, no heat control. Priced at £44.99 it’s pretty average.”
Elsewhere, Amazon offers a cheaper option in the form of the Rainberg Heated Clothes Airer priced at £36.99. That particular model has 18 drying bars including heated wings for extra drying space.
It can hold up to 15kg of laundry and is ideal for drying clothes, bedding and towels. One of the buyers who was pleased with their purchase wrote on Amazon: “It’s a great addition to helping to dry your clothes at this time of year. Cools down quickly too when you turn it off.”
However, another did point out that the cover wasn’t great: “The cover tore right away on its first use. The stitching along the seams, especially in the corners, is so flimsy and poorly done that it ripped just as I tried to put it over the airer.”
