Celebrity Big Brother has been hit with a string of Ofcom complaints ahead of the ITV final, which airs this Friday, after fans were left disgusted by a stunt from Chris Hughes

Celebrity Big Brother has been hit with more Ofcom complaints over Chris Hughes’ disgusting act. The ITV show is ending this Friday with a glittering finale – as six stars fight to be crowned champion after a triple eviction.

The broadcasting regulator received 125 complaints for its episode on Friday, April 18 for Chris and JoJo urinating into cat litter as part of a task on the ITV show, whilst its Late and Live sister show on April 16 received a total of 55 complaints for comments made by Tiffany Pollard about Jack Shephard and an audience member.

On Friday’s episode, Chris decided to wee in a cat litter tray while dressed as a cat. When the clip was shown on Late and Live, AJ could be heard saying: “Disgusting!” Chris asked JoJo to stand in front of the door, saying to her: “Can you block the door?” before adding: “Don’t tell anyone I’ve weed though.”

Viewers were horrified by the act, with one writing: “Chris needs to get a backdoor eviction for that piddling. Did he even wash his hands after?” Another said: “Chris’ only excuse is that he was drunk. That’s not sober behaviour.” A third shared : “Didn’t Chris grow up on a farm or something?! I swear I remember that from when he was in Love Island.”

Chris and JoJo have hit the spotlight on the show for their friendly bond. The Love Island star broke down in tears recently over accusations about his friendship with the American star.

“I’m literally in here, I’m just living, I’m just being me. I had toxic stuff and I had bad energy, it just brings you down,” he said. Speaking about his own feelings towards it, Chris added: “Does Daley think I’ve become friends with certain people in here to benefit? Daley would be referring to mine and JoJo’s friendship. I’m fine with that. I know that mine and JoJo’s friendship is genuine.

“I’m fine with other people looking at it from that perspective. When you’ve been somewhere for two weeks, naturally you’re going to gravitate towards people. That’s just life.”

Ella then replied: “What we’ve got to take into consideration is that there’s people in here that have caring sides, and there’s people in here who wouldn’t want you to be used for your platform. That’s why I feel it struck a chord in Daley because he felt for you – he doesn’t want anyone to use you as a stepping stone.”

Chris has been quiet about his friendship and feelings towards JoJo but he did recently make a rare admission about their bond.

“If she left the house ever and I’d be stuck in here that would genuinely be crushed. I guess she’s like my person in here. When you walk into a party you don’t know anyone, there’s someone you want to see in the room that makes you want to feel at ease,” he said.

“It makes me feel happy it makes me feel comfortable and it allows me to be me, it really brings out me, I like me, I like being me and I’ll always be me and it takes someone to get you. We’re like two peas in a pod.”
