This Morning viewers have been using Cat Deeley’s hosting outfits for their summer wardrobe inspiration, and her recent blue floral midi dress has been a top pick

If you’re struggling with what to wear for summer, tuning into This Morning to see what Cat Deeley is wearing each day is a great source of outfit inspiration for a whole range of occasions. Cat might be dressing for a job in front of the cameras, but all of her outfits are wearable, stylish and easy to translate into countless real-world situations, whether it’s weddings, the office or just a brunch date with friends.

One of her recent outfits proved so jaw-dropping that one viewer wrote on Instagram: “Sensational as always! I audibly gasped when I saw the blue dress the other day – absolutely gorgeous!” And despite its impact, the dress is a high-street buy that anyone could wear this summer.

Cat’s Lyocell Rich Floral Midi Dress is just £50 from Marks & Spencer, and it would be perfect for slightly more formal events this summer. Whether you’re looking for a wedding guest dress, need something to wear to a graduation ceremony, or just want something pretty and sophisticated for a party, it’s a top choice.

It comes in a light periwinkle blue shade, with a dainty floral pattern all over. It’s been designed with flattering details like ruching around the waist which creates the illusion of curves for an hourglass silhouette, with a midi-length hemline that stops just below the knee.

The Floral Midi Dress has an off-the-shoulder neckline with spaghetti straps for added support, although Cat chose to leave the thin straps tucked away, proving how versatile the dress is. It also has a sheer mesh overlay which adds a more playful feel whilst still being sophisticated and covered up.

Alternatively, the Cruze Skirt in Mint Glitched Floral is £59 at Omnes, and you can buy a matching top for £49 which lets you choose whether to wear it as a co-ord – which looks like a dress – or as individual pieces. Meanwhile, Nobody’s Child shoppers can pick up the Blue Floral Chiffon Logan Maxi Dress from Louise Thompson ’s edit which is now £52 down from £130 and comes in petite and regular lengths.

As Cat’s Floral Midi Dress is a new addition to M&S’ summer range, it’s currently only got one review from a customer. However it’s a glowing five star one, saying: “Lovely dress – works for formal and casual occasions.” The dress is also currently still in stock in all sizes from eight to 18, with only the size six currently sold out.
