Cadbury has unveiled a new, limited edition flavour of their Dairy Milk chocolate which has split members of the public as some dub it ‘totally vile’ while others praise it as ‘sensational’

Chocolate fans have been divided by the latest Cadbury flavour which was dubbed “totally vile” by some unimpressed foodies.

The company behind Dairy Milk, Twirl and Flake failed to impress some with the “strange” new flavour combination. A post from NewFoodsUK on Instagram showed off the latest treat, with their 359k followers divided on the “pink lemonade” flavour seen on some store shelves.

A photo showing the inside of the new Cadbury chocolate bar was shared to Instagram and captioned: “New Pink Lemonade Cadbury Dairy Milk bar!! This is a very strange combo but does indeed work very well! We got this online at @worldsnacksuk.” While the bar has delighted the Instagram shopper, some in the comments were less than impressed.

Describing the flavour as “milk chocolate with a flowing raspberry lemonade flavoured centre,” Dairy Milk has released the special edition chocolate to mixed reactions. One Instagram comment summarised the split from fans of the chocolate, writing: “Not sure about this one.” Another wrote: “Can’t deny, that sounds totally vile.”

While some were horrified by the chocolate, others were delighted by the new bar and wondered where they could get their hands on the limited edition item, Liverpool Echo reported. One user tagged their friend and wrote: “One for you to find!” Another wrote: “This looks sensational!” A third has asked where to locate the new sweet treat, asking: “Where did you find these!?”

Further reactions found on a Facebook post sharing the chocolate revealed shock among foodies but some considered it an extension of a fan favourite Cadbury product. “I need a strawberry one like Cadbury’s roses!,” they wrote. Another praised the pink lemonade flavour, writing: “Looks so good, maybe you can enjoy for the both of us.” A third simply wrote: “I loved it.”

But some were confused by the colour of the chocolate’s filling, with the bright pink piece not delighting everyone. “Thought was was calpol [SIC]” one bemused user wrote. Another joked: “I need my eyes tested. I thought that was a finger.”
