Residents have been asked to not travel to the area by Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service to avoid ‘hindering firefighting operations’.
An updated statement from the service said: “At 14:45 on 4 May, fire crews from across Lancashire were called to a commercial property fire on Billington Road, Burnley.
“There are twelve fire engines and two aerial ladder platforms in attendance. If you can see or smell smoke, please keep your windows and doors closed.
“Please stay away from the area to avoid hindering firefighting operations.”
