The fire brigade have confirmed that the cause of fire is under investigation after the first floor, second floor and roof of a family run village pub were alight

Around 60 firefighters have been dispatched to tackle a blaze which has gutted a pub in a London village.

London Fire Brigade sent eight fire engines to a pub on Heathfield Road in Keston, Bromley.

The emergency services were first called to the blaze at the family run village pub at 10.33pm on Sunday evening, April 19 with the fire under control by 12.14am on Monday morning.

London Fire Brigade confirmed at the height of the fire, part of the first floor, second floor and roof of The Fox Keston Pub and Dining were alight.

One of the Brigade’s 32-metre turntable ladders was used at the scene as an observation tower to help fight the fire from above.

After six calls crews were mobilised from Biggin Hill, Bromley, Orpington and surrounding fire stations.

A spokesperson for LFB following the fire said: “Crews will remain on scene damping down remaining hotspots.

“The cause of the fire is now under investigation.”
