The steward, who was supposed to be serving meals in the premium Club World cabin, allegedly vanished before a crew boss found him completely naked and dancing inside a business class

A British Airways flight took a bizarre and unsettling turn when a male crew member was allegedly found stark naked and dancing in a business class toilet – while he was supposed to be serving food.

The alleged incident unfolded aboard an Airbus A380-800 last Sunday, as the aircraft cruised at 30,000ft with around 470 passengers and crew on board the journey from San Francisco to London Heathrow. The steward, who was supposed to be serving meals in the premium Club World cabin, reportedly vanished, sparking confusion and concern amongst colleagues who were left scrambling to manage a busy in-flight service.

The in-flight crew boss launched a discreet search and was stunned to find him completely naked and jigging energetically inside the business class loo, The Sun reports.

The man was then reportedly wrapped in a pair of pyjamas reserved for First Class passengers, quietly escorted to the First Class cabin and strapped into a luxury seat for the remainder of the 10-and-a-half hour journey.

British Airways bosses alerted the police, who met the plane as it landed at 11am. The steward received medical attention and was arrested, before being suspended from duty amid an ongoing investigation into the matter.

One worker told The Sun: “It is an extraordinary thing to do… This job can do ridiculous things to people, but staging a one-man disco in a Club World toilet is a new one on me.”

British Airways said it is a police matter. The Mirror has contacted the Met Police for comment.
