South Yorkshire Police are appealing for witnesses after an 85-year-old man was killed in a crash between a white Toyota and a mobility scooter last Friday on North Bridge Road in Doncaster – this is a breaking story

A pensioner has died after being hit by a car while riding his mobility scooter.

The 85-year-old man suffered serious injuries following the collision on North Bridge Road in Doncaster shortly after 1.50pm last Friday. South Yorkshire Police are urging any witnesses and people with dashcam footage to come forward.

The force said: “It is understood that a white Toyota Estima car had been in collision with an elderly man on a mobility scooter.
The man, aged 85 was taken to hospital with serious injuries. He has since sadly died and our thoughts are with his family and friends.”
