Get on George has been ‘humanely euthanised’ after pulling up in the second race of the day at Aintree. The horse was quickly dismounted on course by jockey Jack Tudor and was assessed at Aintree, before the decision was made to put the horse down.

The six-year-old’s death marks the second fatality at the festival after Gold Dancer was put down after winning the Mildmay Novices’ Chase on Friday.
