Police rushed to the scene in Dundee at around 9pm last night after reports of a violent incident which saw a boy hospitalised with a broken jaw and eye socket in a shocking assault
A 12-year-old boy reportedly had a knife held to his throat and was beaten unconscious after being attacked by a gang of yobs in an alleyway as police hunt the attackers.
Police rushed to the scene in Dundee, in an alley near the High Street in the city centre at around 9pm last night (Friday, March 20) after reports of a violent incident.
The boy reportedly rushed to hospital for a brain scan and suffered a broken jaw and eye socket in the horrific attack. He has since been released, the Daily Record reports.
A 14-year-old boy and 17-year-old girl were also injured but no information is available on their condition at this stage.
A source told the Scottish Sun: “The boy tried to stand up to a group giving his pal grief.
“Four of them rushed him and battered to the ground and jumped on his head then held a machete to his neck when he was unconscious.
“It was all captured on camera and videos are being circulated online. The lad is lucky to be alive.”
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 9pm on Friday, 20 March 2026, police received a report of a disturbance involving a group of youths in an alleyway, near the High Street, Dundee.
“Two males, aged 12 and 14 and a 17-year-old female were injured in the incident. Enquiries are ongoing to trace those involved.”
