The smart tech is discounted by £162, but shoppers only have a few hours to claim the massive deal

Boots shoppers can take advantage of a major sale to bag an otherwise expensive smartwatch. But people need to act quickly, as the deal will be gone by Monday.

Several products have been discounted for a limited time as part of the new Super Sunday promotion. One of the biggest reductions is the Garmin Venu 2 Smartwatch – normally worth £350 but now just under £190.

The wearable tech can provide you with various health stats – whatever your goals. Fitness fanatics will enjoy the range of pre-programmed exercises – such as running, cycling, swimming, golf and more – to track progress

Away from exercise, you can also review stress levels with reminders to conduct some short breathing activities and understand your sleep score. It also learns from your habits and an automatic daily hydration goal is created for you and adjusted based on your level of sweat during exercise.

The Garmin Venu 2 isn’t just filled with features to enhance your workout but also gives you access to the women’s health tracking systems, where you can track your menstrual cycle or pregnancy using the Garmin app.

With a battery life that claims to last “up to 11 days”, shoppers can test out every feature that’s packed into this watch. But, the deal is only running this weekend (March 2) so shoppers need to act quickly before the price goes back up.

Over on Amazon, hundreds of shoppers shared their honest reviews of the watch that was branded as “superior in every way”. One said: ”

Another added: “The Garmin Venu 2 is perfect. I’ve owned it for over a week and I’ve only just had to charge it. Honestly I don’t know how it’s able to do everything it does and have that amount of battery life. 10 days with normal use is insane!”

A third wrote: “Battery life on Garmins is always excellent, and this is no exception. Running or biking 3/4 times a week, I’m only ha ing to charge once a week, and feel like this could last forever.”

Someone else’s review read: “I’ve had this watch for around 4 weeks now and it is my first Garmin watch. Previously, I have owned a Fitbit and Wear OS watch, and if I’m honest, I’m gutted it took me this long to discover Garmin watches. It is far superior in every way to those watches.”

A fifth person shared: “I bought this watch to replace my Apple Watch series 3 (screen cracked). I am usually very reluctant to stray from Apple products, but I was struggling to justify the cost of the newest Apple watches. However this Garmin Venu 2 is easily the best smart device I own. Looks stylish and it is very comfortable to wear, especially to bed! I was worried it would be too big and uncomfortable to sleep with but it is surprisingly comfortable.”

But not everyone was happy. One claimed: “I bought this product recently and it crashes 2-3 times per week. Its general functionality i.e. GPS, step count, notifications etc. is pretty decent but the fact it crashes so often is really annoying.”

Another warned: “Bought due to battery life reviews and Garmin’s reputation for rugged watches. Watch is very easily scuffed and it does not warn when the battery is low just appears dead on wrist. Very disappointed!”

The Super Sunday promotion is a new online-only event that Boots will be running every month on the first Sunday of the month – meaning the next chance will come on April 6. It works similar to the weekly £10 Tuesday deal where offers only last for a single day.

There are plenty of alternative smartwatches available elsewhere. On Amazon, shoppers can pick up an Apple Watch SE (2nd Gen) for £189 that can be customised in both size and style with different bands.

And, at Currys, shoppers can get their hands on a Fitbit Versa 4 Smart Watch for just £179. Designed to be thin and lightweight, Google claims “you’ll barely notice you’re wearing it” as you go about daily life as well as any exercise sessions you have planned.
