The health and beauty retailer’s luxury edit features 11 premium products worth over £180 from brands like Elizabeth Arden, Laura Mercier and Clarins

It’s officially wedding season, and whether you’re a bride-to-be, know someone about to tie the knot or are simply a huge beauty buff, then you’ll want to know about the latest beauty edit at Boots. The health and beauty retailer has launched a brand new Luxury Wedding Edit, and it’s packed full of premium products worth over £180.

The haul, which launched exclusively online today (May 8), is priced at £45, and is stocked full of reception-ready products from top brands including Elizabeth Arden, Laura Mercier and many more. Shoppers will find a selection of 11 premium skincare and makeup products to choose from, including the Kate Middleton-loved Clarins Lip Perfector, which is worth £23 alone.

The Princess of Wales wore Clarins’ Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector in Rose Shimmer whilst attending a tennis match at Wimbledon. Since then, it has become one of the most coveted lip products around and is hard to find in stock online. Inside the box, shoppers will find a glow version of the balm in shade Soft Glow.

This all-in-one lip and cheek balm is designed to hydrate your pout, offering enough colour pay-off to give a ‘your lips but better’ look and provides a natural, glossy finish. It can be applied on the cheeks as a tint or a highlighter for a natural, healthy-looking luminous glow, enriched with plumping peptides provide a plumping effect.

The product hass racked up dozens of five star reviews on the John Lewis website. One said: “A lovely lip product with good colour and hydration. It gives good coverage with a lovely satin feel and shine/glow. Very easy to apply and top up during the day and the packaging makes it so convenient to pop in your bag or pocket.”

“This is a great formula,” another said: “It’s not sticky and the colour is very pretty. So far, I’ve only used it on my lips. It also has a nice taste to it. I probably won’t use it on my cheeks. The applicator is also very comfortable to use.” But others would prefer more pigment, with one adding: “I didn’t like the light pink. It hardly shows up on me.”

But that’s not the only exciting product in the box, as the Grown Alchemist Regenerating Night Cream is worth almost £30, while the Shiseido Ultimune Serum will ensure your skin stays glassy and fresh.

Another Mirror team favourite is the Laura Mercier Translucent Setting Powder which senior consumer writer Harriet Morphy-Morris says is perfect for creating a blurring effect with ‘no flashback’. She said: “I contemplated whether to splurge on this product for months, put off by its pricey cost. In December last year, I finally caved by ‘splurging’ on the mini travel pot, and I still use the exact same pot on my face everyday. It’s not cakey, doesn’t crease, and doesn’t show any flashback in photos – all while giving a flawless matte finish to cover up any oily spots. I also use a tiny bit under my eyes to help soften the dark circles.

“Compared to other brands it is expensive, although I personally don’t think the ‘dupes’ we hear about like Elf live up to the same quality, having used its powder before too. The main winning factors for me have to be that it doesn’t leave any residue and the pots are super generous with the product – and a little goes a long way.”

LookFantastic’s high end Luxury beauty edit costs £85, but is worth more than £300 – £305.50 to be exact – containing no fewer than seven premium products. One item is even worth more than the actual cost of the box, rendering the other six items essentially free.

Meanwhile, Elemis has launched an ELEMIS x Gigi and Olive Bridal Collection, described as ‘the ultimate beauty gift for wedding-day prep’ for £149. For those on a budget, ASOS’ Here Comes The Bride Beauty Box is worth £55, but costs £20, starring six products – including the Benefit 24hr Brow Setter. The boxes make for the ultimate treat for any brides looking to get their skincare and makeup routine nailed down before the big day, or as a gift from the bridesmaids.
