- Police search teams looking for 15-year-old Grace Keeling have found a body of among rocks on a beach in Withernsea, East Yorkshire.
- Although formal identification has not yet taken place, Grace’s family has been informed.
- Police have been unable to retrieve the body immediately due to dangerous tides and complex conditions, pausing the recovery operation until it is safe to resume.
- Grace’s mother Sarah Keeling, 45, from Nottinghamshire and local man Mark Ratcliffe, 67, drowned after entering the water in an attempt to rescue the teenager on January 2.
- Humberside Police said that, after trawling through CCTV and speaking to multiple witnesses, it is understood that Grace and a friend were on the steps near to the rocks when she is “believed to have fallen into the water after being swept by a wave”.
