Police, paramedics and fire crews were seen outside the Kings Park hotel in Rutherglen, Scotland, after officers received a report of the death of a man and launched a probe
Emergency services have raced to a hotel in Scotland and launched an “unexplained death” probe.
Police, paramedics and fire crews were seen outside the Kings Park hotel on Mill Street in Rutherglen this afternoon after receiving a “report of the death of a man at a hotel,” Glasgow Live reports.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 11am on Sunday, 26 January, 2026, we received a report of the death of a man at a hotel in Mill Street, Rutherglen. The death is unexplained and enquiries are ongoing.”
Local photographer Charlotte Pawsey said there were six police cars, four fire trucks, one hazmat response unit and two fire Marshals. Four ambulances, two of which are listed as incident response, are also at the scene. She told Glasgow Live: “The police wouldn’t tell us anything other than it is quite serious and wouldn’t confirm if everyone was out safely.”
The Mirror has contacted the Scottish Ambulance Service and Scottish Fire and Rescue for comment.
