Shoppers looking for bedroom furniture could prefer the B&M option to a pricier alternative
B&M is selling a £30 bedside table that could be compared to a £150 version. The furniture could be ideal for shoppers looking for ‘stylish’ storage on a budget. The discount retailer has a reputation for its affordable homeware and furnishings.
B&M stocks a range of products, including cabinets, storage units, and floating shelves. There are also several options for customers looking to spruce up their bedrooms. For instance, shoppers could love B&M’s £30 Axel Bedside Table. The retailer says the furniture is designed to ‘accent your bedroom’, and it is offered in a ‘stylish’ mango wood finish.
For some customers, it could also offer a cheaper alternative to Evergreen Interiors’ £150 Barbican Eucalyptus Sideboard, which is made from eucalyptus wood. The two bedside cabinets arguably look similar, thanks to the slatted fronts on both units. While the design and construction differ, they’re also offered in a similar brown wood look.
Nonetheless, some shoppers might prefer the £150 eucalyptus wood option rather than the B&M ‘wood finish’ cabinet. Customers struggling to choose between the designs might wish to check the product description on each retailer’s website.
Describing the B&M table, the retailer said: “Accent your bedroom with this wooden Axel Bedside Table. A stylish piece to bring functionality and a natural look to your bedroom. Easy self-assembly.” The description continued: “Mango Wood Finish. W40 x D29 x H55cm.”
While shoppers interested in the unit can look at product images and information on the B&M website, it is only available to buy in-store. Shoppers can find their nearest B&M store here.
Describing the Evergreen Interiors table, the retailer said: “Made from eucalyptus wood with a natural finish, this mid-century inspired sideboard table with slatted front drawer makes the perfect addition to the living room or bedroom as a practical storage solution as well as a surface for lamps and other home decorations.”
The description continued: “Height: 51cm. Width: 40cm. Depth: 39cm. Colour: Brown. Material: Wood.” Shoppers interested in the unit can purchase it from the retailer’s website, though the website says stock levels are low.
Alternatively, B&Q sells another unit that might be compared to the bedside table, with the £51.75 Scandi-style bedside table with grooved wooden effect. The product description said: “With its refined combination of Nordic effect wood decor and contemporary grooves on the drawer this bedside table offers an elegant solution for those who like to store their dreams in style.
“Add a playful touch to your bedroom while benefiting from its modern functional aesthetic. It’s the bedside table that looks after your things with charm. Bedside table: W 40 x D 29 x H 50.5cm. Top: W 40 x D 29cm.”
