Shoppers could stand to make serious savings if they tried out this gift set that has similar products to a big brand
B&M has been one of many retailers stacking shelves with potential Christmas goodies. The beauty and health section of B&M often has gift sets that can be handy presents, cost-effective and good quality.
One shopper noticed a real bargain find in their local store and couldn’t help but notice the similarities it had to a high-end brand. Katie spotted B&M’s Hair Treatment Kit gift box, with other sets, that could be particularly ideal to stash away for Christmas.
It was priced at £9.99 and featured all five products – including the hair mask, shampoo, conditioner, styling serum and restoring oil. Plex Systems, manufactured by Face Facts, has five products that can be bought individually at B&M for £2.49 a bottle.
However, the gift set provides an even cheaper way for fans to get their hands on products for less. The full range products, which claim to be “suitable for all hair types”, would cost £12.49 if bought on their own but the set has the same full sized bottles so saves shoppers a further £2.50.
This saving seems even greater when compared to Olaplex, a leading beauty and haircare brand, which has similar products that are much pricier. Buying direct, shoppers could fork out £58 for a similar set by Olaplex.
Shoppers were quick to flock to Katie’s TikTok with their thoughts and opinions. One said: “I’ve got this and it’s amazing, the exact same as Olaplex! My hair has never felt the same.”
Another said: “The [alternative] is good I have used it and it’s brilliant!” A third added: “Ideal for us girlies that need to take extra care with our hair!”
Someone else added: “Have been using this stuff since beginning of the year and would 100000% recommend! Amazing clarifying and cleansing shampoo and super great soft and natural products!”
A fifth person claimed: “U can get them in savers as well” whilst another added:” I found this in Superdrug babe”. So, it might be worth shopping around if your local B&M doesn’t have enough stock on hand.
The same set is also available on Amazon – however the price is much higher than B&M. Shoppers can spend £18.99 online and have the kit delivered to their door.
Also in this video, Katie pointed shoppers towards the Elle 3 in 1 styling wand that other shoppers are saying is ‘just as good as Dyson’. She found something else instead from the Elle range to try but spotted more of the Plex System kits in the same section, urging shoppers to look around or ask staff if they want to find something specific.
