Already thinking about decorating your house for Christmas? Bargain hunters have been raving about this £5 balloon arch as affordable way to embellish your doorway
For some it’s still to early to be dragging their Christmas decorations out of storage yet, but for those for who the festive season can’t come early enough, or are looking to stock up on cheap Christmas decor now, B&M shoppers think they’ve found an unmissable bargain.
Posting on the Facebook group Everyone LOVES Christmas, one user shared a red and white festive balloon arch kit that they’d seen in their local B&M store containing 123 balloons, and priced at just £5. “How fab does this look?! Spotted at B&M,” they captioned it, prompting a flurry of comments from other users below.
‘I opened Molton Brown’s advent calendar and was wowed by the contents – and the saving’
Hotel Chocolat’s advent calendar is the luxury treat I look forward to every year
Lots of people tagged in friends in the comments section, asking them to have a look for the set when they were next in a store. Others remarked how they had bought this set in the past and been really pleased with the results.
“We bought it last year – looked like this up,” one Facebook user wrote, posting a photo. “Definitely not a balloon artist but for a fiver we were happy.”
“I’ve bought these in the past, they are really good,” another person commented. “Well worth the money.”
However, lots of followers – including an actual balloon artist – suggested that you’d probably need two or three boxes to get a result like the photo on the front of the box – but for £5, it’s certainly a cheap way to decorate your home.
Others other suggested that, with 123 balloons to blow up, you might also benefit from picking up a cheap balloon pump to make the job easier.
If you can’t find this set in your local B&M store, we’ve spotted that it’s also available to buy on Amazon, albeit for double the price at £9.99. However, shopping from Amazon not only ensures you’ll get the product, and delivered to your door, but if you’re an Amazon Prime member, you can get it to arrive with next day delivery.
If you’re not yet an Amazon Prime member and thinking of becoming one in the run up to Christmas, you can sign up for a 30-day free trial here.
Doorway decor has become a growing homeware trend since celebrities such as Stacey Solomon and Mrs Hinch regularly post photos of their elaborately decorated entranceways. This £5 B&M find, however, is a way to copy the trend for significantly less.
Card Factory also sells a number of well-priced balloon arch kits for other celebrations such as birthdays and baby showers.
