Shoppers can make savings of over £20 by opting for the Kansas Desk at B&M over the Evelyn Folding Desk at Dunelm
B&M is selling a “perfect” and “complete” desk that bears a striking resemblance to a more expensive version available elsewhere. The discount retailer has priced the sought-after piece at a mere £35, much cheaper than a lookalike on sale at Dunelm for £59.
The Kansas Desk, which has a smooth oak finish, is available to view online on the B&M website, and shoppers can check which branch has it in stock by using the store finder. According to the product description, the item could be ideal for those who work remotely.
It says: “This Kansas Desk is perfect for working from home, revision or using a computer. Complete with a artisan oak finish, easy self assembly.”
The £35 item could be a budget alternative for shoppers who like the look of the Evelyn Folding Desk at Dunelm but don’t want to spend more than £40. A major difference between both items, other than the price, is that the Dunelm option is foldable meaning easy storage and tremendous versatility.
“The perfect option for apartment living or smaller homes, the Evelyn folding desk features a spacious, oak effect worktop, paired with a black metal frame for a trendy modern look,” reads the product description on the Dunelm website. “This convenient desk can easily be folded flat to allow for easy storage when not in use, allowing you to make the most of your space and set up a workspace anywhere in your home.”
It measures 72.5 to 84.5cm high, 83cm wide and 53cm deep, offering a compact footprint suited to smaller rooms or flexible workspaces. The space beneath the desk provides 71.5cm of height, 83cm of width and 50cm of depth, allowing room for seating and leg space while working.
When packaged for delivery, the table arrives in a box measuring 5.5cm high, 105cm wide and 87cm deep. Meanwhile, the table from B&M weighs around 8kg and measures 90cm long, 50cm deep and 79cm high, offering a compact, lightweight option suited to more compact areas.
Interested shoppers can view product images and find out more information about the Evelyn Folding Desk, such as how to arrange home delivery, on the Dunelm website.
