All about Dairy Milk and its limited edition flavours
Dairy Milk chocolate was launched in the UK by George Cadbury Jr in 1905. The recipe used a higher proportion of milk, giving it a creamier taste and lighter colour than competitors.
It became Cadbury’s best-selling product in 1914, inspiring spin-offs including Fruit & Nut in 1926 and Whole Nut in 1930.
Over the decades, more varieties of the UK’s most popular chocolate bar have been released too.
Popular limited edition bars include Oreo, Marvellous Creations, Orange and Mint Crisp. There have also been quirky options like Choco-Latte, Out of the Blueberry and Raspberry Shortcake.
Some limited editions are so beloved they become permanent, while others are remembered for their novelty.
Only time will tell which category the Salted Caramel Velvet will fall under!
