‘Best by far’ £25 Amazon kitchen gadget makes cooking fun and ‘easy’

Unfortunately, I am not one of those people for whom cooking and preparing a meal is a therapy. In fact, cooking is a task that needs to be sorted pronto and then enjoyed – personally. So, when I stumbled upon a kitchen utensil that aids meal-times and makes the tedious task of chopping up vegetables way more enjoyable – and quicker – I had to buy it.

While my exact model is no longer available on Amazon, the Fullstar Vegetable Chopper & Mandoline Slicer is basically the same in its use and is currently on sale for £24.99, down from £29.99. While some may see this gadget as a lazy solution, I see it as a way to ensure making homecooked meals way more fun – and efficient (work smarter, not harder, people).

It’s a 6-in-1 product that can do most meal prepping tasks with minimal effort or mess. It’s a mandoline slicer, potato slicer, tomato slicer, onion cutter and cheese grater all in one, as it features a fine and medium dicer, a grater, a coarse shredder, a julienne blade, and a slicer blade.

All users need to do is place the veg on the slicer and push down the lid to slice, dice and chop, simple as. Measuring at 25.4L x 12.5W x 7.8H centimetres, it’s easy to store and also includes a cleaning brush, finger guard, and 1.2L container for safe and efficient meal prepping.

Shoppers also love this particular gadget as it’s easy to clean and is dishwasher safe – although in my experience, when using the dicer, I often find that food gets stuck in the gaps, even once it’s been through the dishwasher, so the cleaning brush is best for tackling this attachment.
