With the cold, wet and damp weather officially here, many shoppers will be looking for ways to dry their clothes as effectively as possible. There’s a discounted dehumidifier currently available on Amazon and it’s award-winning.

The Pro Breeze 12L/Day Dehumidifier with Automatic Humidity Sensor & Display is currently available from Amazon for £124.99, discounted from £139.99. It was awarded the Which? Best Buy for Dehumidifiers (2025), the site says.

This product removes water with an ultra-efficient compressor, a 24-hour on/off timer and an energy saving auto shut-off system. What’s more, its running cost is as low as 7p per hour, the brand says, and it has a large 1.8L water tank.

This product operates ‘extremely quietly’ and allows users to set their desired room humidity between 30% and 80%. With its digital LED display and 24-hour timer, users can programme the dehumidifier to turn on or off at any time.

An alternative is this Lakeland 1L Compact Dehumidifier, available for £34.99. This ‘small and portable’ device has a 400ml water tank and claims to prevent condensation and damp issues and remove up to 1L of extra moisture.

Or for a more expensive price, there’s this Princess 10L Dehumidifier, available from Argos for £140. This dehumidifier is fully portable and can remove moisture from the air at a rate of 10L/day, the brand says, and it has a digital display and three speed settings.

Shoppers have written very positive reviews for the Pro Breeze 12L/Day Dehumidifier with Automatic Humidity Sensor & Display on Amazon, leaving an average 4.6 out of five star rating, from more than 10,000 reviews. One said as part of a longer review: “This is an excellent small device and works very well in medium-sized rooms or more humid smaller ones. I purchased one for the kitchen and was so pleased I ordered another for a larger room where we air laundry, but they’re easy to move around.”

A second person said: “Excellent product, did exactly what we needed, and that was to ensure no early morning condensation on windows, it achieved this with ease. Reasonably quiet and doesn’t use too much electricity. Overall very pleased.”

While a third wrote as part of a longer review: “I use this in a small bathroom which was getting damp due to not enough ventilation, but now this issue is resolved and the dehumidifier reads as low humidity. I also use it for airdrying clothes, and it speeds up drying time considerably.”

Some left more critical comments, however. One person said: “It works well and does the job. The only issue is that it doesn’t maintain the exact humidity level. For example, if set to 50%, it may stay around 48%.”

Another wrote: “My first proper dehumidifier. Pretty much plug in and play, considerable amount of water in my tank after the first 24 hours, so I know its definitely working!

“Slightly disappointed that the price changed a couple of days after I bought mine and Amazon won’t refund me the difference… the cost of buying online, I guess. Down a star for this alone.”
