This year’s Boxing Day sales have kicked off even before most of us have served up our Christmas dinners. While some of us might want to avoid thinking about a trip to the shops before New Year, bargain hunters can already bag some hefty discounts without leaving their homes with big brands like Dyson, Shark, Ninja, Boots, Dunelm, Debenhams and Oodie slashing prices on thousands of products in an attempt to tear us away from the new Wallace and Gromit.

As a shopping expert who has been tracking many of the biggest brands for years, I’m very aware of shopping trends and pricing and what’s interesting to note about 2024’s Boxing Day sales so far is that the end-of-year sales are actually offering some of the most significant deals, with many matching or even surpassing Black Friday season in some cases. Here are my top tips on retailers to check out early if you’re looking to snag a bargain.

Ninja

The kitchen gadget experts are wrapping up a busy year where they’ve launched dozens of new products with a sale on many of the most-popular lines. While not all the discounts are better-than-Black Friday, there’s still savings of up to £90 on many of their best-loved air fryers and multi-cookers.

Meanwhile, the Ninja DoubleStack, which has a narrow footprint but double height for cooking and proved a hit with shoppers struggling for counter spaces in smaller kitchens, is not only £70 off but also comes with freebies thrown in including silicone tongs and an apron.

There are also great deals on lower ticket items, including self-sharpening knife sets, kettles (including this fast-boil one which is now at its lowest ever price) and high-tech travel mugs reduced by 33% to £19.99.

Dyson

If you’re a beauty fan then high-powered hair gadgets are the standout deal in Dyson’s Boxing Day sale, alongside heaters, air purifiers and of course the iconic vacuums that started it all, reports Wales Online.

Shoppers can look forward to limited edition colours and complimentary extras with purchase on a host of bestsellers. There’s £50 off the Dyson Airstrait or £70 off the Supersonic hairdryer plus a free storage case.

If you’re keen to kickstart your spring cleaning early for 2025, there’s a whopping £170 off the Gen5Detect vacuum while their entry level V8 model is £120 off, bringing it down to £209.

Boots

As the home of the Star Gift it’s inevitable that Boots’ huge up to 50% off sale includes a wide selection of gift sets, perfume and treats worth tucking away for presents through the year. But there’s some great beauty and skincare discounts included too.

My top pick if you’re looking to zhuzh up your skincare regime for the new year is The Future Renew Collection five piece gift set. It includes £165 worth of essentials for £57.96 with full size versions of No7’s best-selling Future Renew serum, night cream, day cream, SPF and eye serum. While the site has it reduced to £67.96 shoppers can get an additional £10 off with the code NO7SAVE10. According to the site hundreds of shoppers have bought it already since the sale went live – this is one I’m expecting to sell out quickly.

Dunelm

If you want to refresh your home for 2025 then the Dunelm is absolutely the place to start. There are more than 16,000 products discounted by up to 50% in the huge end of season sale ranging from homewares to furniture and gifts. If you’re looking to declutter in the New Year there’s some creative storage ideas with discounts of up to 50% including Ottomans and shelving.

I love this nest of tables reduced by 30% to £55.30 but for me spring always feels like a great time to refresh bedlinen and towels and the Dunelm sale is a great place to do that on a budget. This pretty floral duvet cover set is 50% off in a range of sizes and colours.

Shark

For those eyeing a post-Christmas clean, Shark is offering up to £150 off some of its most popular vacuum models in its Boxing Day sale, including high-powered robot and pet hair models. The WandVac cordless vacuum, loved by Mrs Hinch and sold out for Black Friday, is back in stock and reduced to £99.99, saving you a whopping £80.

Beauty enthusiasts can also rejoice with deals on the brand’s SpeedStyle hairdryer and SmoothStyle hot brush, as well as savings on the trendy Wicked-themed FlexStyle multi-tool, now down to £229.99.

Debenhams

Debenhams may have vanished from our high streets, but savvy shoppers know that the brand’s website is a treasure trove for massive discounts on both branded and unbranded goods. Their Blue Cross sale offers up to 70% off, plus an extra 20% off 10,000 lines.

With everything from perfume and bedlinen, there’s plenty to catch your eye but arguably one of the most striking deals is this classic Stuhrling designer watch. Reduced from £2,295 to £267, this 45mm automatic timepiece comes in four colours making it ideal for everyone.

Oodie

Oodie made waves with some of the biggest discounts on Black Friday, delighting shoppers by slashing a huge 50% off everything site-wide. While the Oodie Boxing Day sale doesn’t include everything this time, there are even better-than-Black Friday savings on many of their hero products.

My top picks are my two winter Oodie staples: The Outdoor Oodie is currently 55% off at £49 making it cheaper than many coats. Meanwhile the Original Oodie in blue is currently £29. I bought one years ago for considerably more than the £29 and it’s been washed and worn many times and is as warm and fluffy as ever.

Amazon

Inevitably, the best deals in the sale are for Amazon devices, which may seem like a narrow selection until you consider that in recent years this has grown to include everything from tablets to smart TVs, as well as brands like Ring and Blink smart home and security tech.

If you’ve not picked up one of the latest generation of Echos now is a good time – it’s currently reduced by 55% taking it down to less than £50.

Ugg

A festive favourite for many, Ugg has slashed the price of some of its top-selling slippers by 30%, with the brand’s popular Cosy clogs available in various colours and sizes reduced from £140 to £98.

There are loads more options in Ugg’s Winter Sale, with indoor and outdoor footwear for men, women and children all heavily discounted – including the brand’s Essential Mini Classic Boot. Previously £160, they’re now £128.

Roman

Roman hasn’t just launched their sale early, encompassing everything from partywear to PJs and wardrobe essentials, but they’re also offering 99p next day delivery and an extra 10% off for a limited time so you’ll get everything you need before New Year.

Coats have been reduced by up to 41%, including this stylish and warm faux fur aviator jacket, now £35, down from £60.

Face the Future

If you’re in the market for discounted high-end skincare, Face the Future’s winter sale is offering up to 40% off on brands such as ESPA, NEOM, Olaplex and Augustinus Bader.

If you’re feeling like the last person you need a gift for is yourself after all the Christmas planning and stresses, NEOM’s Wellbeing Pod is 20% off and the ultimate relaxing gift.
