‘Best Black Friday picks I’d tell my own family to buy as a shopping editor’

From reduced Charlotte Tilbury to free Apple AirPods, £140 off a PS5, and an S25 phone for £300 less than Samsung’s price – here are the Black Friday deals I’m loving

Black Friday 2025 is officially here. As the deals drop in from the likes of Amazon, Charlotte Tilbury, Samsung and Argos I’ve picked out the best ones to go for as a shopping editor covering the event.

Not only am I scouring the deals to treat myself, but I’m a shopping content editor day-to-day, so for the last few weeks I’ve been thinking about the deals non-stop. In true Black Friday spirit, I’ve rounded up what I think are the best deals, the ones I’d tell my own friends and family to buy.

Whether it’s a free pair of AirPods with a new iPhone purchase, getting one of the biggest discounts on the PS5 I’ve ever seen or getting Charlotte Tilbury products for less. There’s lots to go after, so grab a cuppa as I unveil the deals I’m loving this 2025 Black Friday season.

Tech’s my speciality, so it’s only natural that the best Apple deals will be at the top of my list, coming in strong with a free pair of AirPods for new iPhone shoppers. This is offered through retailer Mobiles.co.uk on the iPhone 16e model – Apple’s more affordable newest smartphone.

It’s offering the iPhone 16e for £24.99 a month along with a huge 500GB of data and while that’s a great data amount (and trumps a lot of other retailers) the best is the free AirPods4, which usually cost £99 on their own – just note, this comes with a £126 upfront fee.

While Samsung fans can get an S25 for hundreds cheaper if they pick this VOXI deal over Samsung’s own site. It works out to be more than £300 cheaper than Samsung’s own site price.

Next is a deal that beats Amazon’s Black Friday price. I’m a sucker for its own tech devices, especially the new Echo Dot Max and Fire TV Select. This week, shoppers can beat the sale prices through TopCashback.

This nifty deal stack drops the Fire TV Stick 4K – which is a win for boosted TV image quality – from its £29.99 sale price to an incredibly low £14.34 after cashback. This is available to new TopCashback members who buy the Amazon product through its links.

Existing TopCashback members will only save a bit, as it drops to £29.34 instead of £29.99, so personally, I’d say it’s only one for new members to look at.

I don’t edit beauty content daily, but I am someone who loves stocking up my personal makeup bag. I’m going to be snapping up my favourite Magic Vanish under-eye product, which helps disguise my bags and is reduced to £21. However, one thing I’d flag with this product is that when I have dry skin, it does crease, so I have to ensure I use a strong primer underneath, and then it’s so effective.

Now, a deal for gamers, and a huge one to be frank. Argos has cut the price of the PS5 to one of the cheapest, if not the cheapest ever (that I remember covering). Usually £429.99, it’s been cut to £289.99.

Black Friday doesn’t end for everyone today, though. Sky shoppers have up until December 4 to get their broadband, mobile, and TV deals. While rival Virgin Media, are running their Black Friday offers up until December 10.
