The new Reimagined brush collection is an upgrade in design and quality and Morphe expert Amber Jones told Mirror why you should have them in your makeup bag

Makeup brush legend Morphe just launched a new collection of tools with antibacterial bristles and shoppers were excited to test them with their go-to foundation, blush and more.

The new brushes, from the Reimagined Collection, are treated with silver ion, known to have antibacterial benefits and reduce harmful bacteria by 99.9%. The synthetic bristles also stop instant fraying, shedding and streaking – making makeup application a stress-free experience.

The entire collection has 34 brushes for face, cheeks and eyes with prices starting from £8. Amber Jones, who works as Morphe’s Education Manager, exclusively told Mirror what a beginner for makeup should look out for. She said: “The Best of Blends Set (£40 at Lookfantastic) is the perfect starting point for anyone exploring makeup artistry.

The variety of brush shapes and sizes helps beginners learn different techniques and achieve a range of looks.”

Inside the eight-piece kit, shoppers can find a M104 Domed Foundation Brush to press in and buff out foundation whether it’s in liquid, powder or cream form. Then there is a M133 Domed Concealer Brush, which is great for skin-blurring, soft-focus effect to cover blemishes.

The M204 Rounded Cream & Liquid Blush Brush is perfect to use when adding a pop of colour on the cheeks and the two eyeshadow brushes – M303 and M332 – are great to layer pigments and diffuse the crease and outer corners. If you use gel liners, try to draw the eye liner with the M383 Pointed Detail Eye Brush.

The M401 Dual-Ended Angled Brow Brush & Spoolie is a useful dual-purpose tool for eyebrows, dip the eyebrow powder using the brush side and fluff it out using the spoolie. Finally, use the M161 Large Rounded Powder Brush to set everything in place.
