Yellow sweat stains ruining your mattress? Fans of cleaning guru Mrs Hinch swear by a £2.50 spray that works ‘miracles’ by lifting the most stubborn marks and smells ‘amazing’

Fans of cleaning ace Mrs Hinch are raving about an incredible stain remover that works ‘miracles’ on yellow mattresses.

Cleaning the mattress is one of those chores many of us forget about – but experts recommend you conduct a deep clean at least once every three months to keep those germs at bay. If you think about it long enough, the idea of sleeping every day against your own sweat is pretty grim.

Luckily, a £2.50 spray that you can pick up at most supermarkets is being hailed by avid cleaners for ‘instantly’ lifting those stubborn stains.

Taking to the Mrs Hinch Cleaning Tips Facebook page, one woman named Ashley decided to give her daughter’s mattress a good scrub whilst she was away for the weekend on a school trip. “She sweats a lot a night and even with her mattress protector, it’s still stained,” she added. “Well, I’m very impressed! It smells so fresh and it’s taken the stains off well”

Ashley used the Flash Bicarbonate of Soda Spray by spraying it onto a microfibre cloth and rubbed it into the stain. She says the marks lifted ‘almost instantly’, adding: “It worked miracles on the yellow patches. I then left it to dry overnight and it’s even better this morning. Smells great too.”

Many users took the comments section to praise the cleaning product, with one person describing it as ‘amazing’. “Smells good too – I totally recommend this as a must in the cleaning caddy,” they said.

Another agreed, commenting: “I’ve used this before on a mattress. Just spray it on, rub it around in circles and wipe with a damp cloth. The results are amazing.”

You can pick up the Flash Bicarbonate of Soda Spray from most supermarkets and online retailers including Waitrose, which is currently selling an 800ml bottle for £2.50 – reduced from £3.35. When not on sale, you’re better off picking the multi-cleaner up from The Range, where it is priced at £2.99.
