Light therapy has gained popularity in recent years, as an innovative approach to skincare, sleep and sport. In a 2026 report from wellness company BON CHARGE (with over 2,000 UK adults surveyed), over half of UK adults have explored red light therapy and blue light blocking technology.
Not only is light therapy said to help reduce signs of ageing, its benefits can also include improved sleep quality and muscle recovery. Data from BON CHARGE reports red light therapy results had 36% of people noting improved skin appearance, 27% improved muscle and joint comfort, and 26% improved sleep. Nearly a quarter of those surveyed stated blue light blocking devices had improved sleep.
