Witnesses reported seeing more than 10 police vehicles at Rossett Hall Hotel in Wrexham following a major incident involving armed officers where battering rams were used

Armed officers swooped on a UK hotel as guests reported seeing more than 10 police cars.

A major operation took place at Rossett Hall Hotel in Wrexham where witnesses reported seeing more than police vehicles race to the scene on Monday evening.

These included armed officers and police carrying battering rams at the hotel.

And now the hotel along with North Wales Police have issued statements about the incident where a person has been detained.

Chief Inspector Wes Williams said that it was an “isolated incident” and that it was brought to a “safe conclusion”.

He stated: “Officers were called to an incident at a hotel in Rossett earlier today where a male was detained. I would like to reassure the community that this was an isolated incident, it was brought to a safe conclusion, and to thank them for their patience.”

And a statement from the hotel read: “Following an incident at Rossett Hall this afternoon involving a vulnerable individual, we would like to express our sincere thanks to North Wales Police for their swift and professional response.

“The situation has now been fully resolved, and the hotel is operating as normal.”

And this morning a spokesperson added: “A spokesperson for Rossett Hall said: “We are grateful to the police for their swift response and the situation has been resolved. I can confirm that all our guests and staff are absolutely fine and it’s business as usual at the hotel.”
