However, there’s a way to save a hefty sum on an Apple Watch by opting for an older refurbished model, and there’s one currently up for grabs as part of Wowcher’s early Black Friday deals.

Bargain hunters who visit the Wowcher site can find either Apple Watch Series 5 or Series 6 devices starting from just £89 – that’s nearly £111 shaved off the full price of £199.95. Equipped with most of the essential features you’d find on a brand new Apple Watch, they’re a fantastic way to experience Apple’s wearable tech without splashing out the full price.
The models on offer are refurbished, which means they’ve had a previous owner. However, they’ve been restored to their former glory and should still function as expected, albeit with a few cosmetic marks here and there.
The Apple Watch Series 5, launched in 2019, was the first of its kind to feature an always-on display, allowing users to check the time without the need for any awkward wrist movements to wake up the screen.
In addition to this, it boasts a host of health tracking features typical of a smart watch, such as heart rate and workout tracking. It also comes with a built-in GPS sensor, ideal for fitness enthusiasts who like to record their workouts and upload them to Strava.

Customers who purchased a refurbished Apple Watch Series 5 from Amazon were highly satisfied, with one writing: “Bought this for my partner and he thinks it’s a brand new watch. It came in the packaged box like a new one and does everything a new Apple Watch would.”
Another customer chimed in: “Excellent condition and exactly what I’d hoped to receive as a refurbished product. Very pleased.”
Meanwhile, another reviewer noted: “My Apple Watch Series 5 was in excellent condition, with only 2 tiny very minor scratches, basically as good as new. The only downside is that the strap provided isn’t an original apple strap and is quite flimsy in comparison, so this may have to be changed in the future.”
