A couple from the US were on holiday in London when they decided to pop into Primark for the first time – and they were left completely overwhelmed by their experience
An American woman visiting London stepped inside Primark for the very first time during her holiday — and was left utterly stunned by what greeted her.
Primark, as most Brits know, is the ultimate destination stocking everything from trendy cropped tops to false nails, bags in every shape and size, and even homeware that frequently takes social media by storm. But when Brooke Camp walked through its doors, she found herself wishing she’d stayed away for an unexpected reason.
Right away, she remarked on just how “cheap” the price tags were. She was genuinely amazed that a pair of barrel jeans could be snapped up for just £18 — and couldn’t help throwing multiple items into her basket thanks to the rock-bottom prices.
Brooke joked: “I shouldn’t have come here”. She was completely taken aback by the sheer number of beautiful pieces available for a fraction of what you’d pay elsewhere on the high street.
Brooke’s partner grabbed his own basket — and the couple soon began wondering how on earth they’d manage to squeeze all the stylish clothing into their luggage, given the mountain of bargains they’d accumulated.
The influencer particularly loved a white frilly top and a burgundy polka dot dress. Yet she admitted feeling a “little bit overwhelmed” because there were “so many good things” on display.
Among Brooke’s other finds were £3 packs of stick-on nails, considerably cheaper than any manicure available in the capital. She even discovered plain yellow French tip versions for just 90p, branding the deal absolutely “insane”.
The American highlighted that they’re dramatically cheaper than in her home of Hawaii, where press-ons typically cost around $11 (£8.20).
The pair then browsed sunglasses and other warm-weather staples, including maxi skirts and boxy shirts, before being drawn to the nightwear section — a weakness for many shoppers.
Brooke admitted: “I should’ve never come near the pyjamas”. And sure enough, resisting the temptation proved easier said than done.
Final purchases
The clip then switched to the couple back at their accommodation, proudly showing off everything they’d need to squeeze into their suitcases for the flight back to the States.
Brooke’s partner picked up a tank top in three different colours, shorts, swimming trunks, a nice shirt and a “button up”. The influencer herself, meanwhile, walked away with three sets of pyjamas and several sets of press-on nails.
All things considered, the pair showed admirable restraint given just how much had caught their eye. And viewers in the comments section were thrilled to see the Americans having such a brilliant time in Primark.
