Shoppers said the tube was ‘great value when compared to the normal tubs in supermarkets’
Amazon shoppers have been raving about a discounted tube of chocolates that will be perfect for sharing or gifting this Christmas. A popular sweet snack during the festive season, Celebrations are available in a bulky pack that’s now cheaper than normal.
The online retailer is selling a Celebrations Milk Chocolate Gift Tube , which weighs in at 1.4kg and features all eight classic treats in bite-sized form, including Milky Way, Galaxy, Galaxy Caramel, Mars, Twix, Snickers, Malteasers and Bounty.
Normally, the tube is sold for £19.40, but it has been cut down to £14.98 as part of the Early Black Friday sale. Shoppers will get 150 chocolates in one tube
The Amazon listing reads: “With birthdays, age is just a number — the number of Celebrations packed into a box (or tube, if you’re fancy). And that number is enough for everyone you’ve invited, their plus-ones, and that couple from next door who seem really fun.
“So, from Eid to Easter. Birthdays to wedding days. Congratulations to graduations. Mother’s Day to ‘new starter today’. Some moments just call for Celebrations and with this bulk chocolate offering, there’ll be enough for every celebration.”
And, of course, Christmas is known as a time when people indulge in these chocolate treats. Shoppers looking to satisfy their chocolate cravings this Christmas can find similar brands sold in bulk, such as Cadbury which sells a 2kg box of Heroes for £26.75 or a 1kg Lindt Lindor Assorted Chocolate Truffles bag for £21.50 on Amazon.
But the Celebrations bundle has proven popular with dozens of Amazon shoppers. One said: “Arrived well packaged. I opened a few to see if they were ok, and they tasted delicious. I ordered again as great value for money, good selection of each chocolate.”
Someone else said: “An excellent pack of chocolates! Ideal for parties or key times of the year (such as Christmas!). This is a very large box – good value for the money. The chocolate has a long shelf life and will last more than you’ll need it to! They are super yummy.”
Another wrote: “I love that it came in a tube that uses less plastic than the tubs. The chocolates were all arranged in layers so you can see exactly how many of each you have, and a quick shake up mixes them if you prefer. Great value when compared to the normal tubs in supermarkets.”
Despite no low ratings on the product, a few shoppers mentioned that the tube itself was made of “flimsy” plastic, with some claiming the packaging had “split” during delivery. Someone put: “The plastic container is quite flimsy, so once opened it doesn’t feel especially sturdy or reusable compared with some of the older tubs.”
But, overall, the majority of shoppers were happy. One person said: “This tube is HUGE, way bigger than the tubs you see everywhere at Christmas time.
“The size is fantastic—the 1.4kg tube feels substantial and is packed to the brim with all the best mini chocolates and biscuit bars. There’s a brilliant mix of all the classics like Maltesers, Snickers, and Galaxy, so there’s something for everyone.”
