Amazon slashes Jameson whiskey to under £30 in Asda-beating deal: ‘My favourite’

For the whiskey lovers, Amazon has knocked the price of a bottle of the renowned Jameson Original Triple Distilled Blended Irish Whiskey, making a 1L bottle less than £30.

Costing £27, beating Tesco’s £34.50 price tag as well as ASDA (£34.29), Jameson Whiskey is loved for its flavour profile, which boasts notes of vanilla as well as spices and nuttiness, giving it a hint of sweet sherry and delivering that exceptional smoothness for which the brand is known.

For those unaware, the brand explains why Jameson stands out as a top tier tipple, that’s also recommended to entry-level whiskey drinkers: “Jameson Irish Whiskey is a blended Irish Whiskey. For those who’d rather a subtle taste of ‘citrus fruits mingling with apple, pear drops and the merest hint of tropical fruits’, as opposed to nutty vanilla, and a single malt formula, Penderyn Whiskey is a good option. Its Myth Single Malt Welsh Whisky costs £35 at Ocado. If an Irish whiskey is preferred, Tullamore Dew Irish Whiskey is available for slightly less at £24 full price and has flavour notes of sweet, biscuit, soft spices (attributed to the pot still whiskey in the blend), citrus and nuts or marzipan which combine with distinctive vanilla which is down to the ‘sherry and bourbon casks used in maturation’.

Shoppers who have snapped up this deal on Amazon have been pleasantly surprised with the product, with a 4.8 star rating from over 2,400 reviews, one of which raved: “Great whiskey. Easy to drink over the rocks or even mixed. Well priced, nice addition to my collection, I’m not an expert but it’s really yummy.”
